My Experience with Sebamed Lime Shower Gel:

After moving, I went shopping for basic necessities, I came across Sebamed. I have never really tried any of the products from this brand as I thought they are “Dettol” kind of medicinal, but since I was looking for a fresh gel kind of shower gel, I decided to pick this one up. There are two variants in the shower gel – Lime and Pomegranate.

Sebamed Lime Shower Gel

The shower gel comes in a tube packaging and has a flip cap. The cap is sturdy enough and there is no case of leakage. The packaging is pretty basic and reminds me of Himalaya Neem Face wash. The product doesn’t leak and thus is travel friendly. The shower gel has a thick texture. The shower gel looks like semi solid than liquid gel like! The gel is green in color and has a fresh lemon scent.

Considering that the shower gel is thick, using it without a loofah can be a tedious task! I have tried it without a loofah and it is really difficult to slather the product and foam it up, but with a loofah, it is very easy and then it lathers very nicely. A coin-sized drop is more than enough for a fresh and rejuvenating bath! The lemon scent wakes up your senses and makes you feel very refreshed and clean.

The lemon scent also reduces the body odor and I have noticed great differences and I am often skipping my deodorant from the time I have been using this product and yet I smell nice and fresh! The product is suitable for sensitive skin and also if you have mild cuts or burns, it doesn’t irritate the skin; I find this very good as I am prone to getting paper cuts! The product is soap free and this is a big plus and thus it doesn’t dry out your skin and even though the product is gel based it provides nourishment like a shower cream.

Even though the winter is so harsh here, the shower gel does not dry out the skin. As the pH value is 5.5, it is favorable for skin and thus it doesn’t dry your skin after a shower. I can skip moisturizing for almost half an hour and the skin still feels hydrated. After the shower, my skin feels nourished and moisturized.

The shower gel hydrates the skin and doesn’t cause any dry flakes on my skin. The skin looks effectively moisturized after a shower. The shower gel lathers very well and is easy to rinse off. I use the shower gel at times when I need a quick shave and it doesn’t cause any irritation or redness. Overall, this shower gel is a good product and even though it is not a must have, the product is a good option when you do not want to use rich shower creams for winter and want to smell and feel summery during the boring dull-cloudy winters!
