Some of the other brushes that colorbar has and that I don’t remember how they look, here they are :

  • Colorbar Eyebrows Brush- RS 400
  • Colorbar Medium Eyeshadow Rs 700
  • Colorbar Eyebrow Brush – Rs 200
  • Colorbar Crease Brush – Rs Rs 900

Please note that all the brush images are taken from MAC’s website. The images are used just for the reference sake to give you an explanation ofΒ  how the colorbar brushes look. The real brushes may vary in shapes and sizes. The shop attendant told me that Colorbar would be putting the full info about the brushes in coming months. I don’t represent colorbar. I was just on a shopping round so I thought I’d gather some info to share with my readers as well.

My review would be that the brushes are of excellent quality. They are cruelty free brushes- black handles- extremely soft- decently priced- made of goat hair (except the fan brush). In terms of prices, MAC’s brushes are priced anywhere between Rs1000-Rs3,500 while the Colorbar’s brushes are prices between Rs 200-RS 1300 range. In India, atleast they would give MAC a tough competition in brushes. Although this might be a contradictory statement because MAC has dupes all over the world and I don’t think it hampers the sales of MAC brushes a bit. πŸ™‚ Personally, I am going to stock a lot of these brushes. They are just great.

If you want to buy the full range, it is prices at Rs 12,500.

So ladies, what do you say?

One good news is that I am also on Twitter, can you follow me there. πŸ™‚ Yay!

Colorbar has not launched the brushes officially as yet. It is just in some of their signature stores. They would take a few more months to launch them. πŸ™‚

  5. Oh! it’s okay Palak. I knew you were busy with your exams. Colorbar brushes are great, I mean atleast I found them to be.

I love the peachy pink blush. In fact, I stopped using my cosmic rose after I found the peachy pink. It is just so pretty.

Actually, I am glad that Lakme won here. It’s actually a good thing if lakme can make great products at decent prices. πŸ™‚

  8. I was looking up the cost for MAC brushes in India and found this post…knew you would have posted it somewhere in your blog. And I thought I had managed to read all your posts! Thanks for putting this up – is super useful.

    1. oh no!! this is the price of the colorbar brushes. I was just comparing the colorbar prices to the MAC ones. Let me know the brush numbers and I’ll get you the prices. The review on colorbar brushes is almost complete. Would be posting it in a day or two. πŸ™‚

  9. Rati…I don’t know why I assumed its MAC price!!!! I should have noticed 187 at 1000 and realized. I was wondering if its worth it asking someone coming back from US to get it for me or is it just the same price here too?

    1. okay here’s a simple calculation

MAC 217 brush in India is for Rs 1450. MAC website quotes it for $22.50. I $= Rs 45

      22.50 *45 = 1012.5

So they are cheaper there in US. The prices of international brands increase because of customs, duties etc.

Every thing is at least Rs 200-300 expensive. πŸ™

  10. I know you must have heard this a million times, but you are just TOO GOOD. Ask anything any number of times and you answer so patiently. Thanks a bunch! I know it works out cheaper most times, but I hate asking people for favors. If I am going, I will wait and just buy it myself, but if its other people getting it for me I will get it from here. In this case though, around 400-500 bucks on a single brush, I kick my ego to some place under the bed and ask around πŸ™‚

    1. Awww!! Thank you. πŸ™‚

Happens with me as well. πŸ™ I end up not getting anything from abroad even though I know a few people out there. Gawd!! I also need to do the kicking thing with my ego. :rotfl:
