Colorbar Pout in a Pot Coral Slash Review

Colorbar Pout in a Pot Coral Slash

Hello everyone!!

The weather is awesome today here in Lucknow. It rained throughout last, and it’s pleasant and cool today. Just that the humidity has increased, but that’s really nothing compared to the boiling temperatures that we had been facing few days back. Let’s see for how long we are blessed with this beautiful weather. *happydance* *happydance*

Today, I bring you another of Colorbar Pout in a Pot, in a beautiful coral cum orange shade, 002 Coral Slash. As I have already told you numerous times, including my last review of Agne Rose from the same range, I am a sucker for colors which brighten up your face and are not too loud simultaneously, plus the fact that I have been searching a natural kinda plum and orangey coral for a long time. So did this shade and product meet my expectations? Read on to find out.

Price/Packaging/Description

As I have told you about the packaging, I love it. It is a cute pot, with an in-built mirror, and a mini brush which fits inside the cap. The only problem is taking out the brush. I had sacrificed my thumb nail twice while taking it out, in case of my previous two Colorbar Pots, Fabel Pink and Agne Rose. However, to my happy surprise, this one’s brush came out with the slightest pressure. Oh, I was so relieved and happy for my nail I can’t tell you. 😛

The Pot is small, and handy, because of the presence of brush and mirror, but I do not think many would consider it travel friendly, because not many people like to take out a brush for touch ups. On the other hand, I love it and do not mind taking it with me. It is a small pot, which fits easily inside your purse, so not much of a hassle.

Ingredients are mentioned on the outer box, which includes parabens.

Price : It is available in the size of six gms for Rs 550/-. Quite pricey, as the quantity, if used daily, is going to finish up in a month. Still, this cute pot is worth it.

My Experience with Colorbar Pout in a Pot – 002 Coral Slash

I am in love with the color. It’s a coral, which is heavily on the orange side and not pink as usual (I really thank the heavens for that. I am done with coral pinks). It gives an opaque coverage on layering it up and does not feel heavy or uncomfortable. You can set it up a bit by patting with your finger after you have applied. However, it does tend to cling to dry patches, as you can see in the LOTD, so you must exfoliate and smoothen your lips before application, if you want to avoid the embarrassment of patchy lip stain.

It stays on for a decent time, survives beverages and light snacks, although the glossy sheen is gone, and just the color remains. After a full meal, it leaves a pretty coral-orange tint cum stain behind. My only problem is, that sometimes, the stain is to focused on the centre of the lips, giving them a paan-stained look, which I hate. But that can happen sometimes, so ensure that your lips are smooth on application, and that you apply it uniformly throughout your lips, if you want an even stain.

Also, at this price, I would have appreciated SPF. I do not understand why the cosmetic companies do not include it in lip products. They are also a part of our face, right? And the most delicate ones too, so they are more prone to sun damage. Anyway, I am way too in love with the color and staying power, so would have to skip the cons for a while.

IMBB Rating & Recommendation:

I rate the Colorbar Pout in a Pot – 002 Coral Slash, 4/5 , inspite of its cons. The shade is unique, with an excellent coverage and pretty good staying power.

Do I recommend Colorbar Pout in a Pot Coral Slash ?

Yes. The only thing is that you should know the correct way of applying pot colors with a brush, which is an art, as I learned after goofing up the first time I used Colorbar Pots. If you know it well, this is a great product for you, though expensive.

Shall I repurchase Colorbar Pout in a Pot Coral Slash?

Yes, if some other new product doesn’t catch my fancy, as this pot will last me a fairly long time, because after all, we ladies cannot use one single lip color daily. Right? *hihi* We have so many of them already 😛

Hope you found my review useful. Till the next time. Ciao Beauties!!
