How is everyone doing today? Last weekend was my 6-month anniversary, so I went on a shopping spree and picked up a number of products to pamper myself. I am generally not too finicky about bath and shower products. I generally stick to The Body Shop or Forest Essentials for all my bath essentials, but I wanted to really pamper and spoil myself, so I picked this gorgeous Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Energizing Bath and Shower Gel and here’s my review of it.

My Experience with Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Energizing Bath and Shower Gel:

Elizabeth Arden is a well-known brand and comes up with quality products. I love their lipstick range but their bath and body care products are also great. This product comes in a tube form for $13.00 and light greenish in color. It has a leaf etched on the tube; all in all the tube is simple, elegant and easy to use.

Green tea will leave your body feeling refreshed and you feel energized and ready to get on with your day as well. It cleanses my body well and also gives a divine calming effect. Since I have combination skin, I tend to have breakouts and dryness and basically anything under the sun, but I have been using the product and have not experienced any irritation or skin problems as yet. Green tea is known to help in fighting zits and other skin imperfections. Green tea also has antioxidants that help in blocking development of cancer cell, so double bonus. Therefore it does what it claims.

It bubbles up easy on a loofah and can also be used as a hand wash, if you really want to indulge that is. It lathers easy and rinses off my body easily as well, so very hassle free. A little amount of the product is sufficient and the job is done. My skin does not feel dry or stretchy after a nice bath with this product. The product is easily available online in any of the major online shopping sites.
The best part about this product is obviously the smell. It leaves my body, towels and in fact my whole bathroom smelling refreshingly good. The scent is perfect for the summer and the smell stays for a long time as well. It smells a lot like the perfume under the same range. It is a blend of summer citrusy smell and the green tea has its own benefits too.

Notes:

Top Notes: Caraway, Fruity Rhubarb, Lemon, Orange Zest and Bergamot
Middle Notes: Cool Minty Peppermint, Green Tea, Sweet Jasmine, Spicy Carnation, Fresh Fennel and Crisp Celery Spice
Base Notes: Oakmoss, Musk and Amber

Even though the smell might be a little overwhelming for a lot of people but I reckon I love the smell of sweet fruits and peppermint together. I do not think it smells artificial at all but like I said a lot of people might find it a little too much or fake. You can smell the green tea, peppermint and lemon and most of the fruits and flowers. I simple love this product just because of the scent it leaves. My husband loves the scent trail it leaves behind as well.

I really don’t have anything negative to say about this particular product except for the fact that the smell might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Also, in all my reviews, I suggest and advise to get a sample and try the product before you buy, since it might not suit everyone’s skin. It is better to be safe than sorry. The pricing might also be a little too steep for a lot of users as well. Since it comes in a tube, a lot of people might find it a little difficult to use and would probably prefer a dispenser instead, in order to prevent wastage of product.  But all in all, I love this product because it makes me feel and smell yummy!!!
