On an online shopping spree, I picked up two super pigmented glosses from Lakme. I have already reviewed the shade “Red Touch” and now is the turn of “Burgundy Burn.” Burgundy is without any doubt the hottest shade of the winter season, but this shade comes with a twist because there is no burgundy in it 😛 . Scroll down to know more about the twist!

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Burgundy Burn Gloss Stylist:
The Lakme Absolute Gloss Stylist comes in the signature black packaging. The shade name is only written over the outer box, hence if the glosses are just lying in the vanity, then there is absolutely no clue! Then surprisingly, I noticed one thing, the name is printed on the side of the cap in black, noticeable if observed closely. The gloss comes in a square sleek bottle with a deep grey shiny cap which adds spice to the packaging. Yes, the gloss does look very glamorous, but I felt that it is smaller in size compared to the glosses from various other brands. This looks like one of the glosses you decorate your bridal trousseau with! Very handy, hence will easily fit in whenever you want it to fit into.
The wand is very nicely shaped and defines the lips well, in fact it enhances the shape of my lips, making it look perfect! The consistency of the lip gloss is thick and creamy. It glides on very smoothly on the lips and gives full coverage in just two swipes. The shade looks very opaque initially because the pigmentation is intense but the colour keeps decreasing gradually. It looks very glossy and adds a gorgeous pop on the lips.
The shade “Burgundy Burn” is nowhere close to burgundy, the same happened with the other variant. The shades are not aptly named! But the colour is extremely beautiful. It is a pretty subtle deep pink with berry hints and shimmer. Yes, it is bright but it is not bold 😛
This pink is like a must-have pink for everyone because this shade will complement each and every outfit that you would pick up because it is very versatile. It will complement all skin tones beautifully, especially medium to dusky skin tones. It has little gold shimmer that adds warmth to the shade, making it look glossy and very festive.
The shimmer does not look tacky or cheap, in fact it looks very glamorous. It looks very beautiful on the lips and makes my face glow in a subtle manner. It stays for an average of 4-5 hours and I wish it had stayed more because the price is higher compared to the performance. The color remains very pigmented and glossy for the initial hour and then starts to fade and loss the color. With meals, the shade will entirely come off the lips since it is a gloss. So, I would prefer these glosses only when I have to just blabber and not eat much. When it totally wears off, it looks really untidy with some colour clinging to the chapped portions of the lips, hence either it has to be completely removed or may be a touch-up could help! Overall, I would say yes, these are pricey but the shades are gorgeous enough for a try.
