Lakme Absolute Skin Gloss Refection Serum

I am reviewing the recently launched Lakme absolute skin gloss refection serum today!:) I was apprehensive about using this product in summer given my mixed skin type that varies from dry/sensitive to combination! So lets see how it fared.
Firstly a little more clarity on my skin type. It used to be more of combination skin earlier, now its become more senstive to dry. Also I sweat a lot!! So youknow why I was worried about using a glossy serum in this hot and humid weather!!
What it claims:
An aqueous veil with mineral laden glacial water.
Hydrates to make skin look lustrous
Moisture coat your skin with gloss.
Usage:
Dab entire face with 3-4 drops of serum and gently pat till absorbed.

My experience with Lakme Absolute Skin Gloss Refection Serum
After using H20 face oasis hydrating treatment gel at night, I loved the really softand fresh face in the morning. Given thatLakme absolute skin gloss has similar claims , I thought I ll try it out!
Packaging: I must admit the packaging is also one of the reasons I got it !:p
It comes in a black plastic shiny bottle with metallic blue rim in a black cardboard box. it should be stored upright , so travelling with it in handbag is not advisable!!
The serum is a clear fluid with a runny watery consistency. The first rhing that hits u though is the strong masculine fragrance, more like men’s after shave! ! That can be a turn off , but luckily it doesn’t last ling and fades away within seconds of application
I found 1 -2 drops enough for covering the whole face and neck. It is easily absorbed and thankfully, it does not feel heavy in this weather either!! My skin did feel a little sticky after applying , and had a shine line of sorts, not oily or greasy! Ihope I am making sense!!I follow it up with primer in the mornings and leave it just as it is at nights. Skin felt softer and fresh.I have been using it for 2 weeks and haven’t broken out.
Also I used it while travelling to a much hotter place , and found the same . My skin only felt hydrated and not greasy. However, result might vary with other skin types.

If you are looking for a matte look, then stay away.
If hydration is what you are looking for, give it a try.

Interesting stuff they have now, but serums are the last thing I want for oily skin in summer-monsoon

I have the gel creme but cant use it at the moment, its too heavy for summers but overall the concept is good 🙂

I think its best for winter as a night cream purpose .
