  • Catrice Mineral compact powder
  • NYX pink blush, pink lipstick and eye shadow
  • Catrice Eye pencil
  • Essence Eye Liner

I used Vega lip liner brush to make the (Gypsy) Butterfly pattern. I didn’t want to spoil the eye shadow by adding water to it, so I extracted generous amount of eyeshadow using a brush on a mixing palette, and added few drops of water to it, to make the mix of perfect consistency.

The trick to have a steady hand while making the butterfly pattern is the same way you apply liner over the eyelids. Just place your elbow on the mirror to make it stable while making designs on your face. πŸ™‚

Hope you like it. πŸ™‚

    1. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ha ha ha..I bought it myself!! lol.. πŸ˜€ .Actually I bought it to gift it to someone, and when I returned back, that someone had already left the country and gone to Dubai. So I kept it with me. Till date, never found any reason to use it!! πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜› … Inaugurated it with this yesterday he he he

      1. Actually, I do painting, so know something about art form. But, I was always bad in human art form like mehndi and all. My sister is a great mehndi artist, so I leave all complicated designs to her!! πŸ˜› πŸ˜› ..This was really simple design, and easy to carry too!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    1. hey Devie, I also have this trouble of fluctuating hands. Reason why I got this look proper at my second attempt. My first attempt failed miserably coz of shaking hands… What I did was, I simply placed my elbow on the mirror, so that I got it stable, and then made the design. It becomes quite easy that way!! πŸ™‚

It really doesn’t look overwhelming at all..and looks rather cute!! :beauty: :beauty: :beauty: ..Even bf complimented for the first time on my full face make up!! :shy: :shy: :shy: :shy:

  3. Hmmm… Won’t comment much cause my biwi would beat me up but I am really impressed by two things: 1. The artist who designed those flowers on the face in Lakme Gypsy collection that charmed the artist in you to do the same. 2. Your spirit that really made you pick up your makeup products, go ahead and try it.

The ladies can better comment on your success of your attempt, but for me your spirit is a success in itself already. πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Sanjeev… And I am really thankful to Rati and this wonderful website she has made, which introduced me to the fun and frolic of makeup world!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ ..Really grateful! :worship: :worship: :worship: ..This website simply rocks!! :highfive: :highfive: :highfive: :highfive:

      1. he he..I went to Germany, and thought of experimenting with the brands that are available only there, coz others were available in India too. I asked the lady at the mall to guide me with the products and got that haul!! πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

    1. Thanks Rati!! :shy: :shy: :shy: …. I was really happy to get this look right. Moreover, out of all the looks suggested by Lakme, this one seemed to be the most wearable kind. I mean something you can wear while attending some marriage, or function like Diwali! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  5. WOW!….so damn pretty!…. I dont have a steady hand, cant even get a proper line with my elbow resting on something, I’m so jealous :-((

    1. Thanks lp, still you can mess around with this. I mean these are simple flower patterns, and don’t need very well defined line. I’d suggest you to make it, using a thin long brush! Give it a try, it really looks cute!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

i never thought tht sum1 cud make these artistic designs on face.. always just knew tht these can only be worn by such models in cosmetics adds.. bt u really changed my thought process here.. Bravo dear…keep inspiring me more i wud also try this.. on monday though so tht my hubby is nt dere to laugh at me… :rotfl: πŸ˜›

    1. hey thanks Nids!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ ..I am really glad you liked it. Yeah, when we see a particular make up on models, the way it would look in real life is hell lot different. And after trying this look, I felt this could be easily carried for special occasions like marriage or for instance coming dandiya nights πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ ..and Diwali celebration. It would look really lovely!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

    1. hey thanks Insiya, If you find it difficult to make the pattern using brush, you can use ear cotton buds for the same. Just dip the end in color and simply stick it on your skin in the design of a flower. They’d make perfect petals!!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
