My Experience with L’Oreal Infallible Lipstick in Infinite Spice:

The L’Oreal Infallible lipstick in Infinite Spice comes in a nice clear sleek tube with a snap shut cap that just closes tightly to keep the lipstick safe. The packaging is very sleek and modern looking which is always a bonus. It is just like any other lipstick where you have to twist up the tube in order to bring up the lipstick, but what I did notice is that you have to twist a whole lot to get a decent amount of lipstick product to twist up. I find that a tad bit annoying when I am in a hurry, it is not just with this particular shade, but it is in all of the Infallible lipsticks that I own.  Anyway, let’s move on to the actual product.

The color of “Infinite Spice” is a warm brown shade. Let me just put it out there that I totally feel like I picked up the wrong color. I was expecting a neutral brown shade on my lips but I feel as if this particular brown shade just does not suit me right. Though, you should keep in mind, color differs from lips to lips due to the original color of every individual’s lips. It looks way too brown on my lips, like as if I have applied chocolate and when I swatched this shade, it didn’t seem that it will look so odd on my lips. Even though I was not a fan of the color, I still decided to try it out. This lipstick went on super creamy and felt so soft on my lips that I was super impressed. Though after one to two hours or so, it started to feel way too sticky and uncomfortable as it dried.

This product claims to last all day long, up to 10 hours, and so it almost did, but my lips did not stay moisturized at all. My lips felt extremely dry and I felt like I need some sort of lip gloss or lip balm so I can add some moisture. After that, whenever I happened to wear this color out, I did have to reapply, so it didn’t over dry my lips and I applied a gloss over it to keep it from cracking, but honestly, after a few incidents with this lipstick, I have stopped using this shade. I have even considered just giving it away before it becomes too old 🙂 such a bummer!

Pros of L’Oreal Infallible Lipstick in Infinite Spice:

• Creamy consistency when first applied.
• Feels soft when first applied.
• Long-lasting color.

Cons of L’Oreal Infallible Lipstick in Infinite Spice:

• Lasts long, but the creaminess is gone after a few hours.
• Dries out lips.
• Settles into cracks if coat of lip gloss isn’t applied over lipstick.
• Annoying packaging.
