You can never own too many MAC lipsticks, right?! 😉 Yes! I am addicted to MAC lipsticks, from the special edition packaging, to beautiful shade selection – MAC lipsticks are every girl’s obsession. The shade that I am going to review today is called “Tropic Tonic” and it’s from their matte finish range. I heard so many youtubers and bloggers raving about this beautiful shade and I absolutely had to have it in my collection 😛 Read on for more details on MAC Tropic Tonic:

My Experience with MAC Tropic Tonic Lipstick:
This lipstick has the scent of vanilla, typical of all MAC lipsticks. This lipstick comes in the usual packaging, housed in a black plastic case with a sliver ring between the cap and the body. The MAC logo is engraved in sliver around the cap and inside the lipstick case itself. The name of the shade is printed on the bottom of the lipstick.
The shade “Tropic Tonic” belongs to the MAC’s matte finish. It’s described as a full power coral color. It is a straight up coral and I think it will suit fair to medium skin tones. I generally like wearing it as a stain and putting a gloss on top, and that makes it more wearable for me.
The matte and retro matte formulations are my personal favorite from MAC. The matte is a lot creamier and glides effortlessly on the lips. It does not tug or pull on the lips.
Tropic Tonic comes out opaque in one swipe and feels comfortable on the lips. You just need one swipe to get the complete color on the lips. It’s a highly pigmented lipstick. The finish is not flat matte, instead it has a sheen to it. This lipstick does not dry my lips out and stays put for hours even after drinking and eating. The staying power is 4.5 hours without eating or drinking breaks though it fades away after a heavy meal.
I don’t think you can wear this particular shade to the office, you can wear it with neutral eye makeup. You might need a lip liner beneath to even down the shade because it’s a very bright color. Also, you would need to prep your lips prior to application to get an even and smooth finish.
