Gifts from KI- 🙂
I have made amazing friends at IMBB. I will not name them for the fear of mistakenly leaving somebody out. But, all of you are fabulous.
Kirthi and I struck a different kind of bond owing to fact that both of us are soon-to-be brides. So we have been exchanging shopping tips, saree details and of course makeup reccos. As we are both proudly dusky, we could easily suggest each other colours, too.
So the thing is- Ki sent me some amazing stuff as belated-happy-birthday-cum-get well-soon wishes. I received these fab goodies 2-3 weeks back, but couldn’t write about them just then.
So here are the great gifts:
- I’ll start with the one I liked the most. It is this golden payal with minakari and stones she sent me. Me and my mom went completely ballistic over the payal. Isn’t it just beautiful?? I am gonna wear it for Ki’s wedding in December.
- And also those cute silver studs.
- As Ki and I have similar skin tones, she sent me some makeup stuff, she always liked.
- This is the Colorbar Velvet matte in the shade “Naked Pink.” Ki actually searched this shade for about a week as it was OOS at some places.
- It’s a fabulous, sophisticated pink with brown undertones. Lovved it!!! I wore it for a night out with my fiancée and he loved it too. And we all know how difficult it is to get guys to notice your makeup.. 😛
- Here’s the swatch-
- Next, she sent me the Urban Decay primer Potion. It’s a cute little tube of the famous UDPP.. I had never tried it, so I was very excited to get it. I have been using it, and it too is fab!!
- It holds my shadows in place for a very long time. And it’s not too thick, so I don’t feel my lids weighed down by it.
- She also got me an Urban Decay Shadow called “Midnight Cowboy tides again”… It’s a sparkly, shimmery silver colour.
- It’s unabashedly bold and shimmery. But it can be used as a subtle embellishment too. I am gonna use it in my next eye makeup look.
- It’s quite a versatile shade. It can be used as an all-over lid colour. I have also used it as brow bone highlighter and it worked fantastically.
- Here’s the swatch- The upper swatch is without primer and lower is with UDPP.
- I had to use oil to remove the UDPP swatch.. 😛
I just loved all the stuff. But more than that, I loved the gesture. I have never struck such close relationships online ever before, as I have with Rati, Ki and ALL of you.
It feels great to be on IMBB, it feels like home.

I love UDPP – sometimes for fun I will pat a tissue on top of my eye makeup and the tissue will be clean.. *happy sigh* I am Little Miss Oily Lids so I have to use the UDPP with MAC Paint Pot on top – but the colour lasts for 8 hours (the whole work day).
