Hello again Lovelies!
I have shared in my past articles how busy I was, doing all sorts of preparation for our family migration. I am glad I was able to write several articles in a row as I find it a breather amidst all those overwhelming tasks to finish. Thank you IMBB! All these migration work is driving me crazy. You know why? Aside from packing our things and our luggage trying to maximize all spaces available, I also have hard time giving up those things I really love but I cannot take along with me. I have given up 90% of makeup that I had accumulated and because some of my friends knew I am leaving, they rummaged through my makeup stash one day and grabbed the stuff I am letting go, I am just keeping a few. Anyway, it makes me happy to see my girlfriends happy 😛
This time I am sharing my experience on another summer blush I got. The Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Blush in Fresh Coral shade.
- Velvety Matte Texture.
- Lasting Oil Control.
- Silky Smooth Texture.
Available in 4 shades: Fresh Rose, Fresh Apricot, Fresh Coral and Fresh Berry.
My Experience with Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Blush in Fresh Coral:
Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Blush is packaged in a round plastic compact which is more or less 2 inches in diameter. It is very compact which I find very convenient to tote around. It has 3 grams of product in it. It has a transparent flip open lid and comes with a free small puff which I find really useful for blending the blush on cheeks and for touch ups as I do not need to take along a blush brush to use this. It smells like powder, very mild.
The shade I got “Fresh Coral” is a nice fusion of pink and red which makes it appear like a glowing pink on cheeks. It is super pigmented and it is so easy to overdo. So, dust with the lightest touch and blend, blend, blend on skin. Among the four shades available in this line, this is second to the lightest and the one I find suitable to my skin tone. Also, it is so apt for summer. The Fresh Rose is a nice mid-tone pink shade and this Fresh Coral only differs in a way that this has more red in it. Fresh Berry has more red than Fresh Coral making it appear warmer on cheeks. Fresh Apricot on the other hand is an orange toned shade.
This Maybelline blush appears matte on cheeks and is perfect for those oily-skinned beauties and nice to use when one has enlarged pores as this does not emphasize them. The blush lasts for 4 hours on my cheeks which is okay with me. This is one of my most affordable blushes to date. It only costs Php 189 here, so that’s around Rs. 251.
Pros of Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Blush in Fresh Coral:
- Fresh Coral is a great color on cheeks, apt for summers.
- Compact packaging, perfect for travel.
- Super pigmented.
- Blendable, looks natural on cheeks when blended well.
- Gives shine-free finish on skin.
- Fine texture.
- Lasts 4 hours on me.
- Does not irritate my skin, does not cause breakouts.
Cons of Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Blush in Fresh Coral:
- One may look clownish when not blended well, it is so easy to overdo.
Like the Maybelline Naturally Luminous Blush in True Peach, this Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Blush in Fresh Coral is also so apt for summers. It is also perfect on days when you feel you look so pale and very plain as this gives lively colors on the cheeks.
