My Experience with Milani Baked Blush – Dolce Pink:

The Milani baked blush range consists mainly of shimmery blushes and has only two matte shades. The shimmery blushes are available in a range of colors – from pink to coral to mauve to red. Dolce Pink falls in the pink category.

Packaging:

The blush comes in a round gold plastic case with a transparent lid which closes securely. The transparent lid makes it easier to see the blush color without opening the lid. The blush itself is dome shaped and on lifting the blush pan, you will find a mirror and a brush, which can be used for on-the-go touch-ups.  It is travel friendly, though the packaging may seem a bit bulky! Like most baked products, you will find that the pattern on the surface of the blush is very unique, with the light and dark swirls of pink interwoven with gold veining. The main reason why I bought this blush was because I love how pretty it looks in the pan!

Color:

Milani describes this blush shade as a “pink with gold shimmer.” It is a medium pink shade with gold shimmer. It is a really pretty pink! But I feel it is a bit cool-toned and would suit fair skin tones much better.

Pigmentation:

This is a highly pigmented blush. One tap in the pan is all that is needed for one cheek.

Texture and Finish:

The formula of Milani’s Baked blushes is often compared to MAC’s Mineralize Blush formula. It is supposed to provide a silky smooth application with a luminous finish. It holds true to this claim. The texture is quite soft and silky and blends very well. It is a shimmer finish blush and will add a nice natural glow to your look. The shimmer is very fine and you will not find any chunky glitter. It acts as a blush-cum-highlighter, but as with any blush with shimmer, this one too accentuate the pores slightly.

Longevity:

This blush lasts for over 6 hours on my very oily skin. It fades slightly after that, but had not disappeared completely even at the end of the day. It would definitely last longer on not-so-oily.
