We went to visit the Taj Mahal early this morning today. I had to wake up at 4am to get ready. But my excitement had no bounds. I had a vague idea about what I wanted to wear when I visit Taj. I wanted to wear something white. And I wanted to wear something Indian. Plus I didn’t want to wear Anarkali..because that would have been too heavy for the day. So I found this – my perfect Taj Mahal outfit. 🙂 It’s a beautiful white kurti with silver thread work. There is a skirt which has work done with the real silver leaves. The dupatta has a very pretty silver and golden sitara thread work through out. The kurti and the skirt can be bought separately as well but I felt as a whole, they make a complete outfit. 🙂
I paired it with silver jutti and beautiful silver jelwery. If I had to wear this outfit for a particular occasion, I’d probably go all out with accessories but this worked perfect for my memorable Taj visit. Sanjeev had a tough time clicking photos because the humidity was fogging his camera lens. But you know, Taj Mahal is so beautiful that it covers up for everything else.
And without trying to sound vain, I received so many compliments for my dress from foreigners at Taj Mahal today. 🙂
Hope you like the outfit. 🙂
Have a great day everyone. 🙂 Shared some more pics HERE.
