Hello IMBB beauties…..
After a mini break I will be reviewing today a lipstick from Revlon Moisture Stay range in the shade Toffee. My never ending love for nude/neutrals made me try this at the store and I had to get this. Though I am not a fan of shimmer lipsticks but this one was special because it gave a glossy look without actually applying a gloss.

Packaging:
Revlon Toffee comes in a very sophisticated packaging. This range has this added advantage of wonderful stylish packaging. It is a long gold tube with a slightly raised band at the waist where “Revlon” is imprinted. At the bottom there is a sticker which denotes the shade and the number. Though it may seem difficult to identify the shade from the stash but the unique packaging will definitely make this stand out tall.

Finish:
Revlon Toffee is smooth to apply on the lips and gives a glossy finish. I believe the glossy look is due to the presence of the shimmers which are not OTT. I am a creamy finish lover but these shimmers added to the glamour of the shade and hence I gave in.

Pigmentation:
One swipe is good enough to cover pigmented lips but I like to build up the color a bit more. Also this range is comforting in summers as it gives a cool minty feel to the lips. Though the cooling sensation last for 10-15 mins but I quite like it.

Staying Power:
Though the lipstick claims 8hrs stay but it did not stay on me for more that 5hrs flat, including food and drinks. Lip liner can be used to increase the staying power of the lipstick.

My experience:
I have a long term relationship with n*des/neutrals and thus I can never have enough of the shade. This lipstick was a love-at-first-sight. This shade looked equally good on my sister who has a different skin tone altogether. The shimmers present are not at all gritty and goes on smoothly on lips. This is a gorgeous shade in the family of neutrals and I am very happy with my purchase. So far so good….
