I think most of you here in IMBB love blushes right .I have never used a blush before and today I am here to review my 1st blush. I was always a lipstick person and then somewhere through my journey eye shadows tagged along, now cant live without them. But a blush was never in my wish list, even now I am not in love with blushes. The rosy, glowy cheeks have never appealed to me in any way. But after watching various make up tutorials, I wanted to give it a try. Moreover, I wanted the shade to be as light as possible. I sort of had a love hate relationship with this blush. So read further to know more about this product.

My Experience with Revlon Powder Blush – Smoky Rose
This blush is a dusty pink shade with subtle peachy undertones. It looks more like a peachy pink inside the box but it is a pale pink when applied. In artificial lighting it tends to look more like a rose shade. The texture is very smooth and fine without any shimmers and it just gives a pop of colour on your cheeks. It is a natural and subtle shade which brings a sheer glow to your face. You can never overdo this shade because however you try to build up the colour it will never show up in excess.
When it comes to pigmentation, it might dampen your expectations. It looks like a very pigmented colour inside the box but it is not. You will not get any colour in a single swipe. At least 3 swipe is needed to achieve that pop of colour on your cheeks. The brush provided with this blush is useless, it does not pick any colour. I had a tough time in the beginning, trying to bring out the colour on my cheeks, but to no avail. I even used my fingers but nothing showed up on them too. At last I used a blush brush from my kit and the colour spread out beautifully on my cheeks. It gave a sophisticated natural glow to my face that I loved. The brush picks up the right amount of colour and can be easily blended without any difficulty.
For the swatches I had to scrape the blush with my nails to show you guys the real colour.
It has an amazing staying power . Even though the shade is so light, whatever applied on the cheeks stays put for around 5 hours, that’s how long I have gone with this blush. I think it will stay for even longer period.
The blush comes in a black square casing with a half transparent lid. The colour can be seen through this transparent part and the rest half contains a mirror, inside the box. It has a flip open system and the mirror inside is great for quick touch ups, provided you carry a brush along with you rather than using the one inside. The packing is sturdy enough to carry in your vanity.
This is such a light shade that it might not show up on dusky skin tones. It is best suited for fair to medium skin tones. This shade is a best choice for beginners who have just entered the world of make up.
