Sugar Cosmetics has recently launched two face palettes and also launched the same shades individually as a ‘mini’. I picked up two products and today I am going to review Sugar Contour De Force Mini Highlighter – 02 Gold Glory. Let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Sugar Contour De Force Mini Highlighter 02 Gold Glory:

Packaging:
The mini highlighter comes in a cute small black and violet box with a magnetic closure lid. It is actually a hard cardboard box but the quality is good enough and strong. It is super light and easy to carry. I really like this cute box, but it doesn’t contain any mirror, otherwise it is the most affordable highlighter in India.

Shade and Pigmentation:
The shade 02 Gold Glory is a beautiful medium warm bronze golden shade with finely milled shimmer. It has a deeper tone of gold that gives a beautiful sun-kissed glow to the skin. It a perfect highlighter for medium to dusky skin tones, and I personally love such warm golden shades. But this shade is too deep for fair skin tones. Otherwise, the shade is very pigmented and requires only a few strokes. You can easily achieve a fresh glow with this highlighter.

Texture and Quality:
Now, apart from the gorgeous shade, this highlighter has a soft texture that blends smoothly. It feels very lightweight on the skin too. The formula is very soft and it blends evenly on the skin. Also, it doesn’t feel powdery or patchy at all. It never clings to dry patches and also never clogs my pores. It just adds a beautiful shine to my skin.

So basically, it provides a flawless, smooth and illuminating glow. The highlighter contains some micro shimmers which provide a super amazing glow to the skin. With normal layers, it looks like a shimmery highlighter, and if I layer it up, then it gives a beautiful metallic finish on the skin. The highlighter is perfect for a dewy makeup look. If you are a ‘highlight on fleek’ person, this is a beautiful product for you.

Staying Power:
The highlighter provides a well-illuminated effect that lasts well around 4-5 hours on my oily skin. But after this time period, the glow starts to look faded. I prefer to use a face mist over it to make the glow last long. It helps to set the glow too. The product has never broken me out.

I am so happy that Sugar has launched an affordable highlighter with a beautiful texture. I love this gorgeous golden shade as it looks natural yet stunning on my skin.
