Hi all IMBB ladies,
I have been waiting to write this post for the past 1 week. I would start writing few lines and my baby’s cries will stop me that I have to rush back to feed her . 🙂 Today as soon as she slept I thought I should finish writing this and send this to Rati. Hopefully I do it today . 🙂
I was really glad to see the post on Nov 11 congratulating me and my family. I would like to Thank each and every one of you individually.
Ki, Rati, Suma, Radhika, Nimi444in, Smita T, rs, Uzma, Sumi, Jas, Debasree, Nids, Bulbul, Nidhi, Neha, Monika, Deeptima, Jomol, Priya Karthik, Priyanka, Rids, Poohkie, DB, Priya, Rajol, Sweta, Pranali, Fathima, Gia, Rima, HD, Ramya, Akansha, Veda, Sabrina, Nivedita, Sree, Preetha, Naira, Insiya, Deepa, Anshu, Vinitha, Tatjana, Deb, Lavanya Narayanan – Thank you everyone. It is actually all your wishes and prayers that made my delivery a normal one 🙂 Thank you ladies.
As Smita T said baby was born exactly on the due date. Doctor said only 4% of babies will be delivered on the due date and I am one of the lucky mum!!!! Actually the previous night I was leaking some liquid twice and I thought I will wait till next morning and call the Doctor. The next morning [10th Nov]I had an appointment with my doctor so I thought I will visit her directly. So when I was waiting for her in the hospital I started bleeding little and when I met her she said my membrane has ruptured and asked me to get admitted. So without any pain I was walking casually to the labour ward and got admitted 😉 The pain started very slowly. Since the membrane has ruptured the baby should be delivered within 24 hrs else it might cause infection, so they induced pain at 3.30pm. Severe pain started at 4 pm and I delivered the baby by sharp 8.59 pm. There was a lot of blood loss and hence my haemoglobin level went down to 8.
The moment I saw my baby all pain and tears vanished and my happiness knew no bounds. Raj was with me throughout labour and delivery. He was standing beside me continuously for 10 hrs holding my hands and pacifying me. His moral support made this happen and I really thank God for gifting me such a lovely hubby. Thank you Raj 🙂
Ya Smita I always wanted a baby girl as it is so much fun dressing her up and also she would be the youngest IMBB member !!!!
Hey rs, Ramya, Nivedita – we named her Neya, which means lovable/cloud.

Priya Karthik, Rajol, Rima, Sabrina, Anshu and Neha thanks for blessing the lil one.
Priyanka, Fathima – I will share the pic very soon as elders are totally against sharing the pics at such a early stage, so please wait for a while and I will share her pics for sure . 🙂
Veda – post on time management 😉 he he. Will ask Neya to do that as early as she can be an active member of IMBB 😉 and also the secret of baby soft skin 😉
Insiya – smart and beautiful as mom !!! OMG I am blushing 😉 Thank you Insiya 🙂
Once again I thank all you ladies and special thanks to Rati. So sweet of you to post the news and make me and Neya feel so special being here in IMBB. Lots of love and hugs to you 🙂
I would like to end this post by saying, Motherhood is the best feeling in the whole world and all we ladies are really really fortunate to be blessed by God to enjoy it. Though we hear this a million times we get the true essence only when we go through it. 🙂

Thank you anks. So how is ur kid doing? How did you manage the first few days. I really had to struggle. 🙁 she was crying all the time and I was dumbstuck not knowing what to do 🙁
🙂 Kuhu is doing fine… sometimes, i still don’t know what to do! But its ok…. you’ll grow to understand her needs… does neya like being hugged? she would seek the womb’s warmth at this time and being physically close to you would have a calming effect…
are you on baby centre? it is a very good place to find childcare article, tips etc….
also, try reading about the dunstan baby language… it helped me a bit…
it may seem a bit overwhelming, but i do hope you enjoy every bit of your motherhood 🙂

Congratulations Aarthi :rose: :rose: ….Neha is such a beaaaaaauuuuuuutiiful name….very unique….i hav a 6th month old son …Ansh…My story is also very similar to urs….went for a routine inspection but due to sum infection dey had to induce pain as i was past my due date….pains started at 3 and i delivered at 8.20……n hubby, my mum n mum in law were wid me the whole time….
One funny thng was in thrid push my baby boy was delivered n hubby was so involved in encouraging me dat he didnt notice n still was askin me to push….. :silly: :silly: :silly: :silly: :silly: …i tease him till date….
I sooo much wanted a baby gal….u get such cuttttttttteeeee dresses for dem….Me n MIL had already done shoppin for pink pink stuff…..in seventh month wen my doc told us its a boy…our faces fell…n she was sooo shockd toc our expressions….but den we had a chance to buy all blue stuff….
Motherhood is truly the besssshhhhhhhhhessssssssstttttttttt feeling in th whole world!!!!!!!!!!!

Farha, you can still dress up your baby in pink, for photo shoots and stuff, this way your wish will get fulfilled. My cousin did that , she claims ‘ God made him a boy, but left me to dress him up’. She used to dress up the baby in pink frocks and flowery hair bands and take pics :P:P Ofcourse, she stopped when the baby was around 1.

Nice that your Dr waited past ur due date as these days many don’t. And ur hubby asking u to push even after baby came out,,, he he really funny 😉
We were so curious to know whether it is a girl or a boy but my dr never revealed. I broke all myths as everyone said it will be a boy baby as I had a very small tummy, I looked very dull, I had that black line running [linea nigra] across my tummy. They say all these signs show it is a baby boy ;P
And I would have reacted the same way if it was a boy but towards the end I was prepared for both 🙂

Hi aarthi..loved reading u’r post…i can understand how u were and r feeling now.. :hugright: delivering a baby normally is wunderfull…..even now i love to recall my 9 months pregnancey time and then delivery time…though it is painful but it is worth it.it is actually the best time a woman can have..having a life inside u… 🙂 ….simply loved the moment when i saw my kiddo for the first time..he was like one eye closed… 😉 really..loved that..and i wish u , u’r hubby & dear neya all the happiness…..take care.. :kissblow:

Neya, is a very pretty and unique name Aarthi. Loads of hugs and kisses to her. Girls are all dolls…not that I have anything against boys…but they are just more adorable…
Make sure you take pictures of her at every stage (don’t need to share them) but for keep sake…all the different expressions they make and when they smile in thier sleep…its a heart warming sight… 🙂
Ciya (My daughter) is 2 now, and she loves looking at herself in the pictuers 🙂
