This is the last product from my TBS haul from December – its the Vineyard Peach Body Lotion that I am gonna review today. I have previously reviewed TBS Vineyard Peach Body Scrub from the same range here. Here’s the body lotion review for all of you:
This silky moisturizer smells like freshly pickled peaches, and soaks in to leave skin feeling peachy soft. Lightweight moisture, gets easily absorbed, leaves skin feeling softer and smoother, delicate peach scent.
Rs. 595 for 250 ml.
My Take on The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Lotion:
This body lotion has the same peachy fragrance as the body scrub, but its a bit toned down than the scrub. I feel TBS scrubs have a stronger fragrance than the body lotions from the same range, what do you think? It comes in the usual TBS body lotion packaging, 250 ml bottle with press pump packaging.
The body lotion is neither very thick in consistency nor runny, it gets pumped out of the without any problem. The lotion is of peach color and spreads, and gets absorbed into the skin nicely clearing off dry patches. The moisturization it imparts to the skin was sufficient for me during the dry winters. After application in the morning, I just needed another round of moisturization towards the end of the day. The fragrance of peaches lasts only for a few hours and the scent is fruity and pleasant, but someone who hates fruity scents, wouldn’t be able to stand it.
Though it provides adequate moisturization for the body skin, for rough patches on elbows – only a body butter can help, this won’t be sufficient.
I think its a very good body lotion that you can use throughout the year, though in summers, you might have to switch to a lighter one. Also, if you live in colder climates where it snows and stuff, the moisturization it imparts wouldn’t be enough.
The USP of this lotion for me is definitely the fragrance and consistency. The consistency is such that it does not leave any kind of greasiness behind and makes the skin soft and smooth while it lasts on the skin.
Overall, its a very good lotion, gets thumbs-up from me – has the goodness of peach extract, moisturizes adequately, has a good fragrance, and no parabens in the list, a must-try if you like peaches.
