We have seen many posts on IMBB about beautiful actresses, those with good make-up, good attire etc etc, but I don’t remember seeing any South Indian Actresses among them, and so I thought over and prepared this list- it contains few of my most favorite pretty actresses from the South (especially Malayalam & Tamil since I don’t watch Telugu or Kannada movies because of language problem!)whom I have always admired on/off screen, reasons being natural beauty, good make-up, good posture, good dress sense most of the times. Most of you might be seeing them for the first time but nevertheless hope you all enjoy!
Disclaimer- The list is exclusively based on my personal preference and some of you may have difference of opinion. I like each one of them for different reasons and all of them are unique in their own way and made me like them more with each movie. Also this is not a comprehensive list; these are the ones who suddenly came to my mind when I think about beautiful actresses from South.
Shobhana
One of the most graceful actresses in Malayalm and my ever favorite. Very expressive face with sharp features, she is an excellent dancer too. Any kind of character is safe in her hands, be it comedy, romantic or sentimental and I really like how she expresses the emotion with her beautiful eyes.
Vimala Raman
I love her face and big, beautiful eyes…She is mostly seen with good make-up.
Shriya Saran
I like Shriya for her charm, great body, good make-up & dress sense most of the times. She is a good dancer, basically a Kathak dancer, and recently started her own Yoga School (no wonder she has such sexy figure!)
Kavya Madhavan
Naturally pretty with good facial features, especially beautiful, expressive eyes. I like her the best in traditional attire; a very good dancer.
Trisha
She has a cute face and I like her make-up and way of dressing- carries herself well in traditional as well as western outfits. She has a well maintained body.

I have always liked Shobana a lot…though I haven’t seen any of her Malayalam or Tamil films…I have only seen her in ‘Mitr -my friend’ and maybe in a some Hindi films. I’ve never heard of Vimala, but she looks absolute gorgeous in these pictures!! :rose:

But see Jomol, I mostly watch Tamil movies and when i was thinking abt actresses from malayalam movies I was having a tough time to choose…Trisha is my favorite in this list…did you watch vinnai thaandi varuvaya?i thought about you when i saw those backwaters…lovely place!!and i loved Trisha in that movie, lovely makeup and outfits!!

Am completely in love with Shobhana! :woot: Shes such a talented dancer! I am a big fan of hers! I have watched Bhul Bhulaya versions in Malyalam, Hindi n Kannada n Shobhana was the best, I just cant forget that movie coz of her, I also like her movie ‘mitr’ its a good one.
Bhul bhulayya in Hindi and all other languages were remakes of the original malayalam movie and i think no other actress can ever be matched with shobhana for her performance in the movie.
You know Shyna, I realised after reading your article that India has such a bevy of beauties…. even a little bit of makeup and grooming makes the indian girls look so good… and yet, makeup is a ‘special occassion’ thing for most…. in almost all the pics, the girls are well made up and even with the barely there looks, they look so nice….
its a shame that we have hindi movie industry/ tamil/ bangla/ malyalam etc who dont intermix to work together…. it wud be so good if the movies made are multilingual so all can enjoy them! or if the talent from one state goes to the others as well….

I agree Anks, but what you said finally is happening now …i mean so many actresses from one language are in No 1 slots in other language movie charts..for eg shriya is basically a north indian but she is one among the top rated actressess in Tamil.Similarly Asin, vidya balan etc are basically mallus and they are famous in bollywood now..
I like Trisha the most..Kavya Madhavan…err..not really…I know a lot of ppl find her beautiful..but I just find her too traditional looking and not in a good way but I DO like her for ditching that guy and moving on with her life..and fast…now pls don’t tell me she has gone back to being married….liked Manju Warrier (?? spelling) better..but then I know I would be in the tiny minority or maybe the only namoona saying this 😀 and ohh..Gopika (??? again unsure) As for Shriya…every time I see her I think “she tries too much” 😐

Rads, in Traffic you wont find any fascinating actors, u must see it for the way they have taken the whole movie..very different treatment unlike the usual movies…have not seen anything like this in recent past in any language…i watched the whole movie as if i was in some other world..forgot to munch pop corns even
