We all know the inspiring story of the brand YSL which stands for Yves Saint Laurent and it is famous worldwide for its luxurious products. Today, I’ll be talking about one such product from the house of YSL – their signature women’s fragrance – Babydoll. It was launched in 1999 and since then it has been counted among YSL’s bestsellers. Let’s dig into the review to know more about this perfume.

Baby Doll Eau de Toilette is a fruity floral perfume with a bold, fresh and deliciously sensual trail. It enchants you first of all with its sunny blend of fresh fruit with Gooseberry, Grapefruit and Rhubarb expressing their delicious flavours. The middle notes of delicate and tender flowers somewhat soften this sensualist whirlwind leaving Wild Rose and Freesia to flourish. Then Cinnamon, Ginger and Cardamom come into play letting their enchanting notes soar. Lastly, Grenadine, Peach and Cedar wood produce base notes with a luscious sensuality.
My Experience with Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Eau de Toilette:
Packaging: Alright! So this is my favourite thing about this perfume. It comes in a transparent diamond-shaped bottle with a gold round cut cap. It looks so incredible that half of the time I keep it back without using it. Trust me!. The bottle come housed in a pink card board box which keeps it from moving and rules out any chances of it breaking up. I won’t say it is travel friendly considering its unique shape. Also, one has to be very careful while keeping it on the vanity because it may roll over and break. The liquid inside has a light pinkish colour to it which will fade away if you keep this on your vanity where there is a lot of daylight.
So, my mom picked up this up for me on her trip and I was jumping with joy as soon as I got my hands on this one. It was such an eye candy that I couldn’t get over it for a few days. Enough talking about the bottle – coming to the fragrance, it is equally incredible. With its fresh floral notes with fruity base notes, it smells divine.
Whenever I wear it, I always get compliments and everybody is curious to know what fragrance I am wearing. It stays for 6-7 hours but fades during the day, leaving a light floral scent behind.
As soon as I spray it, my room fills with a light scent which soon fades away. As far as staining is concerned, I have never used it on my clothes directly. I apply it on my neck, behind my ears and on my wrist, so can’t really say if it’ll leave a stain or not. It stays for 6-7 hours but it fades during the day, leaving a light floral scent behind. In winters, I would prefer a more musky kind of a scent, but this is perfect for spring-summer season. I generally wear it during daytime. Overall, I love it. I will definitely repurchase it and would suggest every perfume lover to try it out once for sure. Luckily, there is no bar on who should use it, women of any age can use it.
