A Guide to Color Concealers

For years, concealers have been the saving grace for people struggling with blemished skin. These days concealers come in different colors and target individual needs.

1. Green concealer

If you have ever noticed the color wheel, you would know green is the color which is exactly opposite red, which means you can use green concealer to neutralize redness or blemishes on your face and get even skin tone.

2. Purple concealer

Purple concealer is used to even out the yellow tones of skin. Yellowish or dull skin can be easily brightened up with proper application of a purple concealer. Again, purple and yellow are opposites on the color wheel, which is why this works so well.

3. Yellow concealer

Yellow is exactly opposite purple/blue color on the color wheel which means you can use yellow concealer to even out the blue bruises or other marks on your face. Yellow concealer works as a perfect eye shadow too.

4. White concealer

If you have brown spots which are a bit darker than your actual complexion, white concealer can work well. When you’re highlighting and contouring your cheek bones, dab a little concealer on your upper cheek bones, right under your eyes, blending outward towards your ears. This will help to give your face a defined structure. But you should use white concealer with light hands.

5. Orange concealer

Orange concealers come in shades of peach or very light orange. Other than this, orange concealers work great to hide dark circles. If you have been facing discoloration of skin due to pigmentation, orange is the perfect color for you.

6. Pink/salmon concealer

You can use pink/salmon concealers irrespective of your skin complexion. These are ideal for brightening around the eye area and masking signs of fatigue. This particular concealer color is a mixture of red, orange, and yellow hues, which are opposite the blue, purple, and green hues on the color wheel. This concealer works great on any skin tone and also helps to give a perfect radiance to your skin.
