The Body Shop Launches Moisture White COLLECTION is coming out by the end of this month. This is a small sneak peek of what products they have in this range.

Enjoy skin that looks fairer in just four weeks, using a skin care collection to target freckles and brown spots, whitening, brightening and boosting skin confidence. The Body Shop launches the Moisture White™ collection on June 2010, a specialist collection of skin care brightening products containing the power of Shiso to improve the appearance of dark spots and discolouration at its source, even before hyper pigmentation begins.

We can all now achieve the perfect complexion thanks to the groundbreaking Moisture White™ collection of specialist skin care products formulated especially for women who want fairer, clear looking skin and uniform skin tone with a translucent complexion. The Moisture White™ skin care collection provides you with a full regime from start to finish, from a Serum, Treatment Mask and Targeted Perfector – and even including the final touch, new Moisture White™ Perfecting Foundation SPF 25/ PA++, which comes in a choice of six shades to suit your needs.

The Body Shop carried out testing of the Moisture White™ collection on women in Japan to ensure the range meets strict Japanese regulations and whitening standards. These user trials highlighted the benefits of the collection, shown to whiten dark spots and freckles and provide skin brightening benefits.

The key ingredient, Shiso extract, has been especially chosen for this sophisticated collection. This Shiso plant has been used in the Moisture White™ collection, as it can reduce early melanin-making signals even before the hyper pigmentation process and melanin production cycle starts – helping prevent uneven skin tone, brown spots and freckles. By focusing on early melanin activation, Moisture White™ helps minimise dark spots formation and discolouration. The benefits of Shiso also mean that cells in the epidermis can improve the appearance of dark spots on the skin’s surface, so you can enjoy renewed skin confidence.

Shiso extract is combined with Vitamin C, liquorice and Community Trade organic aloe, a blend of ingredients providing the Moisture White™ range with the efficiency to address hyper pigmentation. Vitamin C is included as it provides antioxidant protection, helping to reduce melanin production. Liquorice extract from the root of the Glycyrrhiza Glabra plant is chosen by The Body Shop for the Moisture White™ collection as it helps address hyper pigmentation.

Hmm..I can vouch for one product mentioned over here since Rati gave it to me and I have been using it; it is the cleansing powder. It is so amazing that I will purchase it, no matter what the price, once this one which the PR sent is over. It is lot better than my regular soap.

The powder is extremely soft without any grittiness. The moment you apply it on your face with water it becomes a gentle creamy paste. you can keep rubbing your face with it and it produces no irritation, stickiness, or grating feeling. It’s a soft butter-like paste.

Once you wash it off, the skin on the face feels very youthful and springy. There is no tautness in the skin as I often feel after applying soap. The skin is soft and moisturized. It also looks a lot fairer than what it looks when I apply my normal soap.

Rati knows I am addicted to the product. :)

Yup. But I do not know if it will suit you or not. You will have to find that out yourself. I do not know if a male’s point of view would matter to you girls. Skin care products may vary from person to person. :footmouth: :footmouth:

Palak, sometimes he lets me use the cleansing powder and i can say that it’s very very nice. It turns creamy and nice once you mix it with water. :)

I use the Kama powder. :P That is a rough coarse powder, this is more like a creamy thing. :)

hmmm..the powder thing sounds innovative and interesting…..but the price……and isnt it clumsy to mix powder water and then apply on face….and other thing i m not too convinced with the whitening factor….is the whitening for real or just an optical illusion that is generally there wn u use any new product……and the body shop usually withdraw their products very soon….

Reply

Rati June 15, 2010 at 8:44 pm

Hi Shilpa,

No it is not clumsy at all. Just take a little powder on your palm , add a drop or two of water in it , rub it between your palms and apply it on your face. It’s like a nice rich cream that you apply on your face and it cleanses your skin. Whitening can be a tricky subject. With skin care products some things show instant result on some people and might take time to show the similar results on different people.

I really cannot claim whether the whitening is optical or for real. May be you could write to the Body shop and confirm about your product related queries. :)

I think it is their permanent line. :)
