Deborah Milano Rossetto Light Creator Shine and Volume Lipstick Review

By Ghayu

A big cheerful hi to all the beautiful IMBB readers :)

This is my first review on IMBB, hope you will like it :) I am an out-and-out lipstick person.  I have around 10 lipsticks (I have just started collecting :-P), but only one lip gloss (yup, only one :| though I am eyeing the Chambor Glitzy Gloss No. 16 now as my next purchase :D). Coming back to the review, the product that I am reviewing today is “Deborah Milano Rossetto Light Creator Shine and Volume Lipstick in Shade 3.” Shades 6 and 7 belonging to the same range have already been reviewed on IMBB here and here. Let’s look at shade #3 in detail:

Deborah Milano Rossetto Light Creator Shine and Volume Lipstick Review

Shelf Life:

2 years.

Ingredients

Product Description:

When I browsed through the Deborah Milano website, I couldn’t find this range there! Strange! There was a “Milano Red” lipstick range, an “Il Rossetto” range, and a “Shine Creator” range, but no trace of all these three put together as “Deborah Milano Rossetto Light Creator Shine and Volume” range :-P Anyway, I got the following product description from an online website:

Coral Lipstick 1

“Get the advantage of lip-plumping, ultra-moisturizing and long-lasting ‘wet look’ in one lipstick. The extra luscious creamy texture gives the exact output in just one swipe. Light- reflection gives the effect of plumped up lips and displays that sexy pout. Be the red-carpet celebrity with Deborah Shine and Volume Light Creator Lipstick!”

Coral Lipstick 2

Price:

Rs. 560, can be obtained at a lower price online (Ahh! The bliss of online shopping).

Coral Lipstick 3

The shade is an absolutely stunning peachy-pink color. It looks a bit darker in the bullet, but it comes out as a light peachy-pink on the lips. Love it! The pigmentation is not that great, but it can be built upon. The texture is creamy and it glides on smoothly.  It really gives a plumped-up and glossy look to the lips and looks great in photographs too! (amazing shade + super glossy look, what else do you need for a super cool picture? :-P) The below picture gives you a clear idea about the shade.

Coral Lipstick 4

Swatches : L- Without flash, R – With flash

Swatches

All is well for the first one hour, then the trouble starts.  The glitters are not at all fine and after some time, you start feeling them when you rub your lips together.  After two-and-half hours, your lips will be surrounded by glitters which will be clearly visible to the person standing next to you (Yikes!). If you look closely at the lip swatch, you can make out the glitters in the center of my upper lip, I couldn’t capture the glitters completely.

Staying power is average, about 3 hours. It has a mild fragrance, which fades away soon.  I forgot to mention an important point! The lipstick is too creamy. I mean, really really creamy, See the pic below to see how my lipstick looks now :P

Coral Lipstick 5

Pros of Deborah Milano Rossetto Light Creator Shine and Volume Lipstick:

  • Superb shade.
  • Lipstick + lip gloss in one.
  • Looks excellent in photos (not the lip swatch, I mean the photos when the camera is kept at a proper distance and taken with a flash :-P)
  • Easily available online.
  • Pigmentation can be built upon.
  • Proper ingredients list is given.

Lip Swatch:

Pink Lips

Cons of Deborah Milano Rossetto Light Creator Shine and Volume Lipstick:

  • Too much glitter.
  • Average staying power.
  • Too creamy.
  • Contains parabens.

Would I Recommend Deborah Milano Rossetto Light Creator Shine and Volume Lipstick?

Only if you like the colour and can manage those glitters :-P

Would I Repurchase Deborah Milano Rossetto Light Creator Shine and Volume Lipstick?

Yes Parita, the glitters are the main reason why i won’t recommend this lipstick to others :-(
