Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick – Powerful Review
I am back with yet another Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick. This will be the last of the “Envy” ones I review for some time. One of the IMBBians, Mimosa, had asked for this shade to be reviewed, so this one’s for you Gurrl!

Packaging:
We have discussed the packaging so many times already – it’s a square deep royal blue case with golden detailing. The top has Estee Lauder engraved on it, so does the inner tube. Looks very classy and uber cool! And has a magnetic closure! The lipstick comes in a royal blue cardboard box. The box is seal wrapped in plastic – ensuring hygiene and non-contamination.
My Experience with Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick – Powerful:
Color: The shade Powerful “mid tone blue-pink” is a soft, slightly milky, cool pink with a bit of mauve in it. The shade is quite unique, I don’t have anything in my stash which could work as a dupe for this shade. Initially, I had been in two minds whether to pick this shade or Infamous (reviewed earlier). I went with Infamous at that time because I wanted something cooler and brighter. This one is more subtle and would look quite different depending on your skin tone. This is a softer pink yet vibrant enough to catch attention. It could be a good option for someone who wants a slight dash of colour or something regular for the office.
Texture: Very happy to state that the texture is consistent across the line – with all the shades that I have tried. It’s lightweight, creamy, glides easily on the lips and hugs them with colour. The lipstick does not accentuate fine lines. It was hydrating and very comfortable to wear.
Pigmentation: Good pigmentation – about 90% color deposit in a single swipe.
Lasting Power: This one was the first lipstick from this line which was an aberration. It did not live up to the company’s claim of 6 hours of full coverage. I could blame it on the softness of the shade. However, I reviewed an intense n*de earlier and even that stayed put for 6 hours. I got about 4-4.5 hours of wear time with this. In keeping with the softness of the shade, it leaves a very faint stain.

- Beautiful unique shade – very easy to wear.

- Easy to apply from the tube.
- Does not settle into the fine lines of the lips.
- Feels hydrating.
- The color hugs the lips nicely – no feathering or bleeding.
- Hides lip pigmentation well.
- Luxe and classy feel to the tube and case!
- Vanilla fragrance.
- Magnetic closure of the case.
Cons of Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick – Powerful:
- Ease of availability across India.
- Color lasts for about 4-4.5 hours, falling short of the company’s claim.

The shade “Powerful” is unique and very pretty, but as I mentioned earlier, it would look different depending on your own skin tone. So, my suggestion would be to try it before you buy it. The shade was lovely enough for me to go back for it but then, I’m fairly mad when it comes to lipsticks. And I guess you all know that by now!!
