Make Your Own Eye Makeup Remover: Do It Yourself
Hello Ladies!
Today I am back with a very simple yet an excellent home made recipe which can be easily prepared and is very much effective as well. Hope you like itโบ โบ.
To maintain a healthy and problem free skin, it is very necessary that we remove our make-up at the end of the day. We use a lot of products for that, depending on the type of our skin. But we often are not bothered about taking special care for our eyes and the skin around it. This part happens to be the most sensitive of your entire facial skin. But we ignore this and end up using the same makeup remover for removing our eye makeup as well. I was no exception to this, until one day I saw that the skin around my eyes have turned red with a burning sensation in my eyes. My husband is an ophthalmologist, so luckily I got help at hand. He told be that it is because the liquid went into my eyes and it caused a reaction due to the chemicals present in the liquid. He put some eye drops and that reduced the irritation. All these make up remover, even the ones meant for the eyes contain some amount of chemicals, mentioned or not. So from then on I was strictly prohibited from using any makeup remover to remove the eye makeup. ๐ ๐
I started using baby oil for removing eye makeup from then on. It worked well, but somehow I was not satisfied. So I started researching on the web, to trace out more effective solutions. Finally, I came across a remedy, and thatโs it, I knew it would make a great solution. ๐ I was much benefitted by it, so I thought of sharing it with you. So go ahead and make your own makeup remover for eyes. ๐
1 tbsp castor oil
3 tbsp almond oil
Some cotton balls
A bowl for mixing. Thatโs itโบ
Procedure:
1. Take one tablespoon castor oil in the bowl
2. Mix it with three tablespoon of almond oil (not the hair oil, but the one which you can apply on your skin. Rogan Badam is a good option)
3. Mix it well.
4. Dip a cotton ball in the mixture and wipe your eyes clean with it, without any irritation. This is effective for removing stubborn mascara as well and it comes of easily.
Tips and Benefits:
โข The above mentioned mixture, is good for oily skinned beauties, for those with dry skin, you can replace almond oil with olive oil.
โข You can make a good amount of this mixture and store it for later use. Make a mixture in 1:3 proportions, i.e., with every one part of castor oil, mix 3 parts of almond/olive oil.
โข Applying castor oil to your eyes has always been recommended, as it keeps the skin healthy and helps growing longer and thicker eyelashesโบ.
I hope you will like this tips and try it at home ๐
