Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate and Kerala Lime Hair Cleanser Review

Heylo everyone,

I absolutely love sniffing my hair nowadays and there’s a reason I wash it every so often šŸ˜› Just a few days ago, I hopped, skipped and jumped to Forest Essentials store becauseĀ I had to pick something from the “Iced Pomegranate and Kerala Lime” collection – do you see the Kerala connection here ? šŸ˜› I have tried quite a few shampoos (or hair cleansers as they like to call them) from Forest Essentials, but haven’t been too happy with how they work on my hair; however, when I had a whiff of this Kerala lime collection, I wanted something from the range! I picked the hair cleanser over other products, so let’s see whether it’s really worth the bucks šŸ™‚

My Take onĀ Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate and Kerala Lime Hair Cleanser:

If you love citrus-y fragrances, you would understand why I am going completely ga-ga over this hair cleanser. Ā The USP of this shampoo is definitely its fragrance, I wouldn’t even call it a “smell” – it’s demeaning šŸ˜› – it should be rightfully be called a fragrance. Ā You can smell fresh lime distinctively in the shampoo, I do not get the pomegranate note at all, and I am so glad it’s only lime all the way! It’s a sweet citrus fragrance with the right amount of tangy flavour. Ā I absolutely love the scent in my hair, it keeps me in a good mood throughout the day šŸ™‚

Talking about the packaging, there’s nothing new, it’s the same usual 200 ml bottle that’s see through. Ā You know, I have a mini seizureĀ whenever I look at the bottle with its receding content šŸ™ Ā I like the color of the shampoo too – it’s peachy pinkish and pretty.

Actually, this shampoo doesn’t lather much and you would have to squeeze in a lot more than your regular shampoo for one-time use. Ā And if you have oiled your hair heavily, before you realize, you would have squeezed 3/4th of the bottle to clear out the oil. Most of the times, my hair gets oily naturally by the third day, so I skip oil application before shampooing, so I don’t need a great amount of lather at that time.

This hair cleanser leaves my hair fresh, clean and bouncy. Ā My curls are not limp, flat or dry. Ā De-tangling is an easy process after I have used this shampoo. Ā I am not gonna tell that it adds shine, gloss, softness to the hair because it does nothing extraordinary. Status quo of your hair will be maintained.

It does work a bit on frizzy hair but not much. Ā I do think this particular cleanser is a lot better than the previous hair cleansers from Forest Essentials, they have worked on the formula I guess.

The ingredient list is pretty impressive – the thought of all those herbal extracts in my hair makes me super happy šŸ˜›

Coming back to the fragrance, it lingers in my hair for two whole days, and I feel fresh the whole time. Ā I wouldn’t mind spending Rs. 875 on a shampoo with great ingredients and an absolutely awesome fragrance, that’s why I am going to pick it over and over again. Ā But if you are someone who does not fancy such scents in hair care stuff, you would not see the point, and then it’s just an average shampoo for you. However, for me, it’s awesome!
