My Experience with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer – Illuminating:

Packaging:

It comes in a simple squeeze tube. You do not need a whole lot amount for your whole face, hence the generous 1.7 oz will last you quite a good amount of time.

Texture:

This tinted moisturizer is neither to thick nor too runny and spreads very well. I can easily apply this with my fingers but you can use an applicator ( brush or sponge) if you wish and it would work equally well. It does not give me a streaky finish if I apply it with my fingers and sinks into the skin quickly. It does not leave a greasy oily residue on the face.

As the name suggests it is truly is illuminating. It gives the face a beautiful glow without being dewy or shiny. The glow is due to a lot of mini-shimmer particles suspended in the moisturizer. Though it is not very visible in natural/ regular light, it can be easily seen if you look at your skin up close in sunlight. The effect is a lot like a toned down version of Edward in Sunlight from the Twilight movies  😛
Though it is not needed to set this with a powder, you can do so if you happen to have really oily skin and need some oil control. It will not take away the illumination as it is due to the shimmer particles and not due to the dewy finish of the moisturizer itself.

It also makes a good base under matte foundations to make the skin look not too flat.
It is very hydrating on my dry skin. It did not accentuate dry patches or fine lines and kept my skin feeling smooth and supple.

Shade & Coverage:

The shade I have is Natural Radiance which is described as medium beige/ for light to medium complexions. It does match my NW 23 perfectly. It comes in a total of 5 shades to choose from.

It gives sheer coverage. It will even out skin tone to some extent but it will not cover any major imperfections. This moisturizer is more aimed toward giving you a healthy natural-looking skin instead of masking it.

Staying Power:

It stayed looking fresh for 5-6 hours on me. Areas on my face which do tend to get oily generally did not look greasy or shiny by the end of the day but during winter time my skin generally tends to lean toward dry, hence oil control in never a huge issue for me.
Overall I do love this product and this has become a staple in my everyday makeup routine when I go for natural day to day look and do not prefer something heavy on my face yet I need some healthy glow. The ease of use with fingers is a big plus point for me too.I will recommend this Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer – Illuminating.
