I remember I was so thrilled when Rimmel launched the Apocalips range. I found them in Parcos and literally picked up the entire range. Now when I saw their matte range in UK, I jumped with joy! I believe they have just 4 shades in the matte range, I own a red shade (Burning Lava) and this burgundy shade called “Meteorite.”

My Experience with Rimmel London Apocalips Meteoric Matte Lip Velvet:
This is a true maroon/burgundy shade for fall/winter. This really stands out as a little mature shade, so wear it if you are used to maroons. The texture is like a lip cream, it goes on creamy and it does not settle to a matte finish honestly.
It stays moist and creamy with a little bit of creamy shine.
It does not bleed or feel like a gloss though. If you purse your lips, you will actually find it to be very velvety smooth. I can feel the softness it lends to the lips. I also love how well it can shape the lips. With time, with a meal, it settles to a more matte lip cream but feels velvety all throughout.
It lasts through meals but just reduces to a stain in three hours. So overall, you can say it is a lip cream, not a product that dries to a matte lipstick.

Well, if you like products that look matte but stay moist, then go for this. Otherwise, I personally love mattifying lip creams.
