Hope all had a wonderful weekend. Have been shopping around at Parcos over the weekend where suddenly the SR who knows me now very well introduced me to these range of lip glosses. So I picked few shades from this range. So let’s see how Rimmel London Vinyl Gloss performed.

My take on Rimmel London Vinyl Gloss in Cosmic:

It comes in a transparent bottle with a black lid. The shade is not mentioned anywhere on the bottle, it’s written below the bar code. The shade is also visible through the transparent bottom, like any gloss bottle. It comes with a sponge applicator. Such applicators are easier to handle and manages to hold enough gloss for application.

These lip glosses have fabulous non-sticky texture and go on so smoothly. They are also quite moisturizing as well, so you don’t end up with chapped lips at the end of the day! Also the fragrance is divine – lovely biscuit like smell – sweet!

Most of us don’t prefer glosses because of its stickiness and staying power. In the same context this gloss doesn’t have a sticky formula. Its felt very light on lips and doesn’t stick when slightly smudged between both lips.

Now about the shade Cosmic, its brownish nude color with very minute micro shimmers which is negligible. This shade can actually be used over a matt lipstick to get shimmery effect. One sweep of this shade can look nude, if you apply with minimal intensity. Hence this can work as a top coat for matt lipsticks. Just a bit of shimmer will brighten your face and look!

Yes the staying power now; it doesn’t last more than 2 hours and easily disappear from your lips. It doesn’t leave any traces of shimmer or the color on your lips (as this shade is more towards nude shade). I would prefer my glosses to last a bit longer. That’s the only con I see in this range of glosses. But these glosses are good to hydrate and moisturize your lips.

Would I repurchase it?

I have few other shades hence I would not purchase this range of lip gloss. I would recommend these to people who are gloss lovers. And people who have the time to do touch up in every 3-4 hours.
