The gloss i have today from Rimmel is the perfect light nude gloss, i am always looking for neutral light glosses to top my lipsticks just in the centre of the lips, I seldom wear a gloss on its own, as it does not give me the coverage I like from a lipstick instead, this is one such gloss that might look creamy but comes out sheer hence it is best used over a lipstick.
The glosses from vinyl collection are mostly shimmery and they are very sheer, they might look pigmented when you swatch them but on my lips they do not show much color. The packaging is simple and the wand is really a common one, nothing great.it has this wierd smell that those Rimmel long lasting finish also has, me no likey but it fades very soon.
The color is a a nice beige but it has this very invisible kinds golden glaze to it, you can call it almost shimmer free.The color comes out very sheer on the lips, it is quite disappointing to see, it gives a soft glossy look on its own, nothing else. On its own it vanishes in 30 minutes, it is a pain to build it up too.
It is ok if it is sheer as I need to wear it on top of lipsticks, where is works awesome, it adds little color but can be worn on an opaque lip pencil, then again the biggest pain is the wand picks up so little product you have to dig it in the tube at least ten time :/ what is the mechanism I have no idea.
The color on a lipsticks or liner base stays on 2 hours or more, but it bleeds with food and lips look very messy, like any other gloss, so you definitely needs a base to it, to stop bleeding and for some opacity,on its own it is nothing much really.
