How are you guys doing? I hope you all are enjoying the most beautiful season of the year. Winter and the Christmas season is just magical. 🙂

Today I’m reviewing an eye definer from The Body Shop. I was very attracted to eye makeup from the day I saw my mom applying kajal. Though I was a bit scared that time, by the way she used to apply to the water line. I really wanted to try that, so mom used to apply kajal for me. I feel the eyes are the most attractive part. It’s actually window to your soul. So. enhance it with some kajal 🙂 . I usually won’t step out of the house without kajal from that day :p . If I don’t apply, I really feel I’m missing something. One of my favorite actress is Kareena because of her eye makeup :p . People who are used to seeing me with eye makeup ask me whether I’m well or is everything alright if I don’t apply kajal :p . It must have happened with most of you guys too!

I was famous during college times because of the different colored eye pencils and nail paints I used to use… 😀 . Like most of us, I also have almost all colored kajal with me 🙂 . I wanted to add a white colored eye pencil to my collection. I was planning to buy one from Lakme. But, ended up buying this one, as there was a huge discount on some of the TBS products. :p

My Experience with The Body Shop 05 Eye Definer Shade: White:

I was very excited to get this product with 50% off. Instead of thinking about the product’s texture and performance I bought it 🙁 . I opened this eye pencil once I came back home from the shop. It was sealed in a transperant plastic sheet. Packing is good, with a silvery cap. Pencil is strong, so it won’t break easily. It’s an old fashioned pencil, which needs to be sharpened every time. This will lead to product wastage. I prefer a retractable over these type of pencils.

The texture is not creamy, so application was such a pain 🙁 . You need to rub it again and again to get a proper white shade that it hurts. Rubbing the pencil again and again over the delicate lids and water line. Uff…. I realized I have wasted money on this. I had to reapply it multiple times to produce a white shade.

It stays for around 2-3 hours. Then it fades. Retractable ones by Maybelline and Lakme are always rocking. No product wastage as well. Their texture is smooth also. I feel they are really worth their price. So in trying to save money, I ended up buying this one, which I didn’t find useful at all. In short I wasted my money :p . Sad, very sad. I use it on my nails now. I don’t throw any products so easily 😀 . But, it didn’t serve it’s purpose as an eye definer. Thumbs down. Any ways, let me some up all the advantages and disadvantages.

Pros of The Body Shop 05 Eye Definer Shade: White:

• Nice packaging.
• Pencil is strong, so it’s not easily breakable.

Cons The Body Shop 05 Eye Definer Shade: White:

• It’s an old fashioned, typical pencil. We need to sharpen this, which leads to product wastage.
• Texture is not smooth and creamy.
• Reapplying is must, to get the white shade.
• Stays for 2-3 hours.
