A lot of you ask me about my makeup packaging for travels. This time I decided to click some pictures of what all I packed for lipsticks and nail paints. There are two things I considered while packing this stuff:
- I should keep colors that I could mix and match with different outfits.
- I wanted to keep a mix of high end and budget stuff because some of the high end stuff is not available at a lot of places. And we have readers on IMBB from various places. 🙂
I mostly wore bright colors through out the trip but kept a lovely neutral peach shade to compliment with smokey eyes.
Lipsticks :
- Lotus Pure Color Lipstick in Magenta fire. It is a gorgeous magenta red color. I skipped taking the classic red and went for this rather because I felt it was the perfect shade for the wintery season. I have worn it HERE.
- Bobbi Brown Lipstick in Calypso. It is a perfect mix of coral and pink.
- Lotus Pure Color Lipstick in My Peach : This lipstick I used with two of my outfits. One of them is this. I looove this shade because it is n*de , it does not wash off color from my face and it is not that typical concealer-ish neutral shade.
- Bobbi Brown Lipstick in Jenna : It is a beautiful bright orange color. I wore it with two outfits again.One of them is THIS
I knew that I wouldn’t find much time to change nail paints so I wanted versatile colors.
- Lotus Nail Paint in Mint Magic 79 : It complimented so well with my two outfits HERE and HERE. Plus it’s such a pretty conversation starter. 🙂
- Lotus Nail Paint in Crimson : I wanted an orange nail paint and I wanted a red nail paint. This is an orangey red. 😀 Need I say more? 😛
- Chanel Nail Paint in Lotus Rouge : I wanted a deep wine shade for this outfit.
How do you decide which lipsticks and nail paints to carry with your during your trip? 🙂

very well thought stuff u carrying….! I love both ur BB lippes….m sitting in ofic wt no lipstick on…feel like rushing to loo and applying…m currently carrying Covergirl lipslick and Revlon Pink sunset….m so gonna wear pink sunset now.
I normally carry 2 lipsticks, lip gloss and a lip balm wt me for travel..
go do you touch up 😀 *happy dance* *happy dance* yeah there was a lip balm too but decided to skip showing it in this post. will do in another one. :)) I am more of a lipstick person so glosses always take a back seat. :))
I wanna try that lotus mint wala nail paint *happy dance* *happy dance* it looked soo amazing in your ootd *drool* *drool* and i don’t have as many lipsticks as you own… i have only a few toh i take all … no confusion only lol *hihi* *hihi* I just take one shade of nail paint which is versatile… and then i already do a french manicure and go which suits all the outfits *happy dance* *happy dance*
yeah french manicure is the best for travel but I like a pop of color on my nails all the time 😀 I think mint one you should totally try it out. it’s so pretty!! 🙂

Would Calypso look too neon (in a nicki minaj way) on nc40 skin?
it is quite a neonish shade. If you are not used to wearing very bright lip colors, you may not really like wearing it. niki minaj is a very clashing bluish toned pink. This is a marriage between hot orange and hot pink..if that makes sense. 🙂

di..how do you organise our makeup essentials to travel:) like which sort of case or anything 🙂 please do a post on how to organise into a small case or something. mine keeps breaking. especially eyeshadows *headbang* *headbang* *headbang*
do you like take a seperate case for your bathroom and makeup essentials or the same case as our clothes *scared* *scared* *scared* *waiting* *waiting*
I take separate kits. I havent unpacked as yet so I’d do the post on that. :))
