Egg White and Orange Peel Powder Face Mask For Winter: DIY
By Monomita
Hi Everyone!
I am back with a new face mask. The face mask that I am going to share with you today is one my favorites! It exfoliates your dead skin cells, tightens skin pores, reduces wrinkles! Isn’t that amazing??? Only a few ingredients that are almost always available in your kitchen can sometimes do wonder to your skin. You won’t even believe how refreshed and tightened your skin will be after you try this face mask!! After I tried this, trust me I felt like touching my skin again and again!! Even my *cough* BF said “how come your skin has become so soft and fresh all of a sudden?” and I couldn’t help but blush! 😛 So let’s get started with this awesome blend to keep your skin soft, smooth and wrinkle free this winter!
Ingredients:
• Egg white from 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon of orange peel powder.
• Lukewarm water.
• Ice cold water.
• Wash cloth.
• A bowl.
Method:
o Beat the egg white and add the orange peel powder.
o Beat it again thoroughly.
How To Apply:
• Wash your face with lukewarm water.
• Apply the pack.
• Avoid eyes and lips application.
• Let it dry for around 10 minutes.
• Once it gets dry, apply it one more time as touch up.
• Wash it off with lukewarm water again massaging in a circular motion.
• Dip your wash cloth in ice cold water, squeeze the water out of the wash cloth and place it over your face and press lightly.
• Keep it like that for 1 minute and repeat the process thrice.
• Feel your skin!!
Benefits of Egg White:
o It nourishes skin when applied externally on skin surface.
o Increases skin elasticity.
o Absorbs oil from skin pores.
o Heals acne and pimples completely.
o Helps to get rid of whiteheads.
o Reduces redness and skin irritation instantly.
o Gives a cooling and soothing effect.
o Tightens/firms skin pores.
o Reduces wrinkles effectively.
Benefits of Orange Peel Powder:
o As we know orange is a citrus fruit, thus orange peel is highly rich in vitamin C.
o Prevents bacteria build-up.
o Removes excess oil, dirt and grime from skin pores.
o It helps to lighten dark spots.
o Exfoliates dead skin cells and gives a radiant look!
o Absorbs excess sebum and effectively works as an astringent.
#Note:
• If you have dry skin, add ½ teaspoon of honey. It prevents your skin from drying out and keeps it moisturized.
• If you have combination skin type, you may or may not add honey! I would like you to try and see what works best for your skin.
Tips:
• Try applying egg white every night before going to sleep and wash it off every morning. You can see the difference within a week! 😀 Tried this myself! I can guarantee you the result!
• Accidentally burnt your skin while cooking or doing something else? Please don’t wash the area with water or apply cream! Simple apply egg white, let it dry and apply once more. Repeat it for two to three times and it can heal your burnt skin within an hour or two depending on the intensity of your burn! Yes I am serious! I had a hot-oil-accident when I was in Class 3. I still remember this accident vividly I don’t know why! My right arm got splashed with hot oil and it hurt like hell! Maa quickly applied egg white repeatedly for half an hour and next morning when she asked me about my arm I asked her “what arm? Did something happen?” The pain was completely gone but a dark mark was there which was gone within a week (since I applied egg white on the burn mark, every day like a good girl 😛 ). Now you can’t even tell that my right arm got burnt when I was a kid!

They DO!!!!! 😀
Awesome face mask Monomita , will definitely try it soon . By the way can we get orange peel powder from market ? which one did u use ??
you can get orange peel powder from any cosmetic store. but I prefer making them at home. I peeled the orange, sun-dried the peel for 3-4 days, then used mixer grinder to make a coarse powder. If you make a fine powder, it won’t exfoliate the skin properly!! 🙂
Hmm . Will do that . added to To-do list in next weekend 🙂 🙂 Thank you
Welcome!! 🙂
