Skin Tone- Medium, NC42, warm undertones
I absolutely loved the two eyeshadow shades that I had picked up from MAC and that’s why I went ahead and picked up two more. MAC has beautiful, wearable shades in the “Extra Dimension” range and it is really difficult to choose just one. Here is the review on the shade “Amorous Alloy” from the Extra Dimension Eye Shadow range.
Price:
INR 1500/- for 1.3 gm.
Product Description:
A hybrid shadow that’s smooth like a cream, blendable like a liquid and finishes like a powder. In Extra Dimension eyeshadow is a modern hybrid formula that combines the smoothness of a cream, the blendability of a liquid and the finish of a powder with long-wearing colour and prismatic reflections. Its creamy silky near fluid formula creates luminous well defined eyes in finishes from sheer crystallized light to stunning metallic.

My Experience with MAC Amorous Alloy Extra Dimension Eye Shadow:
The shadow comes in a little round pot with a clear lid. The cap shuts with a click and hence it can be traveled around with easily. The details about the product are mentioned on the outer paper carton. The shadows come with some textured design on it which look glamorous, but sadly, with usage, it will get flattened out.
The texture of the shadow is a delight to work with. There is minimal to no fall out when you pat on the shadow with a makeup brush or fingertips. I would say the pigmentation is definitely better when used wet but even with a regular brush on primed lids, the shadow looks absolutely wonderful. I am so impressed with the formula that I might end up picking more shades from the range. These shadows are easy to work with and blend seamlessly with minimum effort.
“Amorous Alloy” is described as a “deep terracotta copper” by MAC, which I feel is the perfect description of the “oh-so-gorgeous” shade. I absolutely love this particular shade as it is unique yet wearable. It can be played up or down depending on the occasion and the mood, but in any way that it’s used, it would definitely be the focus of the whole makeup look.
It stayed on my lids till I removed it at the end of the day. There is a bit of fading after 6 -7 hours, without a primer underneath, but nothing bothersome. I have normal eyelids so with a primer underneath, it would definitely stay longer. Thankfully, the shimmers do not travel here and there making me look like a disco ball after a while. Once you place it on the lid, it stays on like forever.
Pros of MAC Amorous Alloy Extra Dimension Eye Shadow:

- No fall out.
- Blends like a dream.

Cons of MAC Amorous Alloy Extra Dimension Eye Shadow:
- Expensive.
IMBB Rating:
5/5
