Today, I will be reviewing a Colourpop eyeshadow in the shade
“Lace” from the Super Shock range.
Product Description:
This long-wearing creme powder formula has an elastic-like texture that is totally party proof. Avoid the fall out from traditional powder shadows and say goodbye to raccoon eyes! This feather soft formula glides on and feels freaking amazing. Super Shock Shadows come in a ton of kick ass shades in multiple fabulous finishes.
Price:
$5.00 for 2.1g/0.07 oz.
My Experience with ColourPop Lace Super Shock Shadow:
Packaging: This shadow comes in a cute white cardboard box with a cool holographic font. The shadow comes in a round pot with a transparent screw lid, which is easy to identify the shade and travel friendly too. The box also comes with a cute warning i.e., to close the jar tightly after use.
Shade and Finish: Lace is described as a pearlized deepened violet with beautiful blue reflects.
Texture: It has a hexagonal shape (somewhat honeycomb) pattern. The texture is creamy upon application it sets into pearl matte finish.
Pigmentation and Application: This is a decently pigmented eyeshadow. There is no fallout during application. I felt it has maximum colour payoff when applied with finger, but you can calso apply with a flat shader brush and build up the colour, but it needs a black base for full colour intensity. I feel it’s a bit difficult to blend since it’s creamy and settles fast.
Longevity: As the product claims, it is a long-wear eyeshadow and it is true to its claim. I have oily eyelids and this eyeshadow stays on my eyelids for more than 7 hours without any primer.
Pros of ColourPop Lace Super Shock Shadow:
- Gorgeous pearl violet shade with blue reflects.
- Cute white packaging, travel friendly, occupies less space.
- Decently pigmented.
- No fallout.
- Long wearing, stays for more than 7 hours without a primer.
Cons of ColourPop Lace Super Shock Shadow:
- Availability.
- Needs a black base for full colour intensity.
- Difficult to blend.
IMBB Rating:
4.5/5 (can ignore the cons when compared to the pros).
Would I Repurchase/Recommend ColourPop Lace Super Shock Shadow?
Yes, I do recommend and I will try other shades from this range since it takes ages for me to finish this shadow.
