Hello IMBBians,

It is, thus, important that you wear nice footwear and have well-groomed feet. I recently picked a foot file from Balea. Read on to know more about the product.

My Experience with Balea Foot File:

Balea Foot File Review Packaging

The foot file comes in a well-packed cardboard package. There is a tear mark and it is easy to open! I like the hygienic packaging and it wins my heart as it is inexpensive. The file comes in 2 shades: white and blue. I picked up blue as white tends to get dirtier! The file has a basic design with the grooming side in black. You can also hang the file in the bathroom easily to a hook. The design makes it easy to hold and the points on the file give it a firm, non-painful hold.

There are 2 sides of the file. One is coarser and the other side is firmer. The file has to be used on dry skin but I usually soak my feet in warm water and then scrub away the dead skin. This way makes it less painful and the dead skin comes off easily. The coarse side is hard and is like a coarse sand paper and it effectively exfoliates the skin especially in the heel area which is prone to cracks. The fine area is not very effective where there is a lot of dead skin and is suitable for the area near the toes. The file also smoothens the light cracks if present.

It makes the skin extremely soft and smooth. The product is also very easy to clean. Just holding under the tap water removes all the dirt and it looks like new. When I use the file on dry skin, it hurts a bit and I wouldn’t recommend it this way. But, I have noticed that when used dry, it removes the cornea effectively and you can easily spot the problem areas. The file effectively removes any dead or dull skin completely. I had a blister on my foot side near the little toe due to tight shoes and once the puff reduced, it was looking very odd and peeling it out was not an option. So, I used the finer side and slowly filed it and the file slowly scraped away the dead skin without any pain or discomfort. All I had to do afterward is use a scrub to smoothen the surface to remove the remaining tiny flakes visible.

Moisturization of the feet after scrubbing is very important to achieve smooth skin and the same applies to this file too. Using a good moisturizer keeps your feet softer for long. I use the file once every week. It has been 3 months since I am using this and the coarser side has become a little fine compared to before. So, I guess the life of the file is around 4-5 months. But, since it is cheap, I wouldn’t mind repurchasing it! So, summing up:
