Benefit Watt’s Up Soft Focus Highlighter, Luminous Champagne
Hi Friends.. ☺
Hope you all are doing good! Am also happy to share with you my surprise b’day gift from an online purchase.. ☺ My hubby had mini fragrance haul from Sephora and in turn he got benefit real b’day turn on gift from the site 2 weeks ago! The products are : mini benefit they are real mascara and Watt’s up luminous champagne highlighter. I know all of you may have heard and even used them several times as they are not new in market. But its new to me as I never bothered about make up seriously before joining IMBB.. 😛 Thanx to hubby for all these gifts as I won’t have invested my money in eye make willingly… 😛 Please read on further to know my experience, I know you are already aware of product.. 😛
Price: $ 30 for 0.33 Oz, I got it as free b’day gift

About The product:
What it is:
A soft-focus highlighter for face.
What it does:
This cream-to-powder highlighter turns up the wattage with a delicate, gorgeous champagne glow. Its smooth application and luminous sheen switches on the “wow” factor for any complexion. Apply it to cheeks and brow bones, then sculpt with the soft-glow blender for your perfect gleam.
Packaging: This soft powdery finish highlighter comes in lipstick kind of twist up packaging with highlighter at one end and applicator sponge at other end. However, the one gifted to me is devoid of sponge applicator and its small as compared to actual watt’s up highlighter.
My Experience With Benefit Watt’s Up Highlighter:
I had already read benefit they are real mascara’s review on imbb before hence I was very happy to get it as I hardly own any mascara till date! Moreover, I never knew about highlighters nor I was into mascara before this package came to me silly me.. 😛 Once I got this gift I exploited it fully as am using its mascara and highlighter daily for practice… hihihi Hope so someday I would be perfect in make up then I will order its full version, till then be happy with smaller kit. As far as I know from site luminous champagne is the only shade available in watt’s up which is a creamy golden peach shade with shimmers giving a powdery finish once blended on skin. I feel for oily skin it may be a hit and trial case as when I applied it on cheeks it kinda settled on my oily pores but on brow bone it works well! When swatched on hands it looks dark golden peachy shade but once blended it gives a very natural powdery luminous finish with shimmers all over. On face it just settles in oily pores and I fear too much rubbing may cause another issues on my sensitive skin! So am just using this highlighter on brow bone for luminous effect and it does wonders for sure. I club it with bronze and brown color eye shadows (I recently owned.. ☺) to give that brightening effect to skin. It does not irritates skin nor it causes break out but it fails to blend seamlessely on oily surface I feel. Since its creamy I feel it will best suit dry and combination skin beauties. For me it only works as eye shadow highlighter as I fear it might highlight my oily pores when used on face.. 😛 Over all I would say its good not best for the 30 bucks fiuuuu.. If I would ever think of purchasing anything like this I would rather opt for drugstore brands this is not worth price I must say. Its only great when you get it as a gift from someone generous enough.. 😉 Else dnt waste your money on such product.. 😛
Lets sum up pros and cons:
Pros of Benefit Watt’s Up Soft Focus Highlighter
• A soft shimmer instantly brightens up face
• Beautiful golden peachy shade which blends into powdery natural finish
• Can be used as a highlighter for face as well as on brow bone
• Does not irritate skin nor causes break outs
• It gives natural shine to face once blended
• May be a great choice for dry & combination beauties
• Works wonders when used on brow bone
Cons of Benefit Watt’s Up Soft Focus Highlighter
• It may clog pores or highlight pores on oily skin .. ☹
• Its impossible to blend it on oily skin
• Honestly there are much more cheaper drugstore brands which work really well as compared to this highlighter especially for oily skin
• It’s not worth price
I Thank god for giving me chance of using benefit mascara and highlighter for free and saved my money. Considering my oily skin issues, I won’t ever invest my money in any of these, as I can get so many cheaper and best products in other brands. Hope it helps.. ☺
