My Experience with Burberry My Burberry Eau de Toilette:
Packaging: The scent comes packaged in a rectangular-shaped bottle, with a golden coloured spray pump. The cap is beige and dark brown coloured and round shaped like a coat button. Packaging is authentic and reflects iconic details of the trench coat and to complete this theme; a beige-coloured gabardine ribbon is hand tied around the bottle neck. This elegant looking bottle, comes packed in a beige coloured cardboard box, which has a golden coloured bow in the front. Packaging is travel friendly. Available in three sizes; 30ml, 50ml, 90ml.
A few months ago, I purchased My Burberry Miniature Set from a duty-free shop. This set had four miniatures bottles; two of my burberry eau de parfum and two of my burberry eau de toilette ones. I thoroughly enjoyed using both these scents on my pulse points and skin. Since, “My Burberry” eau de parfum has already been reviewed on IMBB; I bought the full size of my Burberry eau de toilette to review. So, let’s begin with my views.
This perfume opens with the amazing sweet notes of sweet pea and zesty notes of lemon flower, which are fused with peonies, peach flower and freesia at the heart and rounded out with a base of damask roses, white moss, and a touch of musk. Since it’s an eau de toilette, all notes are sensed at one time. Sillage is mediocre, only someone very close or next to me can tell I am wearing a scent.
Lasting power is around three hours or so on pulse points and skin, without sweating, washing or bathing. It does last a bit longer on outfits, say for around four to six hours or even more. It’s a beautiful fragrance which awakens my senses and makes me feel fresh and bright. I feel, as if I am amidst a garden where flowers are blossoming on one side, fruits on another side and alongside is a paddy of wet moss.
The blowing wind brings a fresh essence of musk’s and mingles with these notes to make a beautiful scent. It’s a pleasure to wear this lighthearted and cheerful fragrance? It’s not very light neither too strong, just perfect. Can be used on daily basis, as well for special occasions. However, if you are planning to wear it for more than six hours, I would suggest you to carry a backup. I always keep my miniatures handy.
