My Experience with Catrice 370 In A Rose Garden Ultimate Colour Lipstick:

The packaging is something to fall for. It comes in a glossy black packaging. It hasn’t got a plastic feel on the outside. It gives the feel of high end lipstick when you hold it in your hand. It also clicks while closing the lid. The lipstick is secure and there is no chance of it getting opened by mistake. The creamy textured lipstick glides smoothly on the lips and is easy to apply. The sharp corner of the lipstick can be used to reach the border and tips of lips in case one doesn’t use a lipstick brush. I normally use a lipstick brush to reach the edges and define the lip lines. The color is light pink. It has no shimmer, but more of a matte finish. I loved the color in the bullet and hoped for a nude.

It would make a perfect nude if the bullet color appeared on the lips. But unfortunately when applied to lips, it turns out to be light pink in color. It definitely doesn’t suit my skin tone (darker skin tones). I am sure it looks lovely on lighter skin tones; it would look more like a nude. I was so looking forward to this color and am disappointed with the results. I plan to mix it with other deeper color lipstick and use it. I can’t see a lipstick go waste. The other problem with the product is that it bleeds a little. The lipstick bleeds out of the lips and hence a lip liner is a must. I normally blot the lips with a tissue to increase the staying power and also to achieve the matte look. The product stays put for 5 to 6 hours. It didn’t transfer to my beverage glasses nor budge during meals, which is great!

I didn’t dare to wear this shade outdoors and was trying out on a lazy Sunday inside the house. My little boys gave a funny look seeing me wear this lipstick. I had to tell them that I was trying out the lipstick to stop them from asking funny questions! 😛 It’s easy to build up the color by reapplying the product. It’s important to moisturize the lips well before you apply the lipstick. Make sure to wipe out the lip care before applying the product to get matte finish.

Would I Repurchase Catrice 370 In A Rose Garden Ultimate Colour Lipstick?
This color doesn’t really suit me as I have a dark skin tone and I hate the way it looks on me. I will definitely not go for it.

If you have fair skin tone and love lighter colors, then give it a try. It would look like a nude on fairer skin tones.
