Hope you all are doing good and the festive season kept everyone busy and buzzing:-).Today I am going to review a lipstick from the brand “Catrice”.

Product Description:

Highly-pigmented, rich shades with perfect coverage and shine, plus a smooth, creamy and long-lasting texture;color at its most beautiful that lasts for hours.

Price and Quantity: 95€ for 4gms approximately 280 INR for 4gms

Packaging:

The packaging of the lipstick is something to fall for. It comes in a glossy black packaging. It does not appear like plastic on the outside. It gives a feel of a high-end lipstick when you hold it in your hands. The cap comes with a secure lock which makes is pretty steady and safe without having a fear of the cap opening and damaging the product or stuffs in your handbag.The creamy textured lipstick glides smoothly on the lips and easy to apply. The sharp corner of the lipstick can be used to reach the border and tips of lips in case one doesn’t use lip stick brush. I normally use lipstick brush to reach the edges and define the liplines.

My Experience with Catrice Lipstick in Shade 390 “On the Pink Side of Life”:

Colour– The color is pink bright matte. This color would not usually suit most Indian skin tones. The color stands out completely but in a bad way. It does looks flattering at all. The color in the bullet looks much darker with red undertones. But when applied on the lips, it turns out pink. I tried mixing it with other darker colors but didn’t like the results. The pink color couldn’t blend well with any of the darker lipsticks. I don’t think I will ever use this lipstick.

Texture– The other problem with the product is that it bleeds a little. The lipstick bleeds out of the lips and hence a lipliner is a must. I normally blot the lips with a tissue to increase the staying power and also to achieve the matt look. The product stays for 5 to 6 hours. It didn’t transfer to my beverage glasses nor budged during meals, which is a breather.It’s easy to build up the color by reapplying the product. But the pink gets brighter but not deeper.It’s important to moisturize the lips well before you apply the lipstick. Make sure to wipe out the lip care before applying the product to get Matte finish.Overall, it’s not a product which suits me. I am wondering how else I can use this lipstick.

• Shelf life 36 months.
• Not expensive.

Cons of Catrice Lipstick in Shade 390 “On the Pink Side of Life”:

• Not suitable for majority of Indian skin tones.
• Slightly bleeds out of lips.
• Usage of lipliner to seal the product is a must.
• Not very moisturizing.
• Availability in India.
