My Experience with Chantecaille Le Stylo Ultra Slim Eyeliner
I am introducing a new brand on IMBB today- Chantecaille. It is a high end luxury brand and is available at most big malls abroad. Although I would not like to introduce a brand with a bad product but this was the first product I tried and was left unimpressed.
Le Stylo Ultra Slim liner is true to its name. It is a skinny felt tip liner packed in this lovely silver pen. It is weightless. There is a brand’s name printed on the liner and the end has a black tip. I am assuming the brown pen would have a brown tip that would make things a bit easier.
I have it in shade black. It is not the richest blackest liner I have come across. As a personal preference I prefer my liner to be deep jet black. This isn’t one of them. The felt tip although is skinny is a bit too stiff and I find it struggling myself to draw a thick line. I feel it is perfect for people who like their liner to be very thin and precise. It’s a great one especially for those with hooded eyes (esp Asian eyes). I also find that it does not dispense the product evenly. In my swatch below you’d notice that the liner looks faded and not intense on the winged area. It works only when your lid are primed well otherwise it makes it a struggle to show up evenly.
The only and a very good point about this eyeliner is that it is incredibly long lasting. I have worn it for good 7-8 hours and it does not budge. Plus it dries super quickly so no worries of ruining your makeup.
That said, it makes the whole eyeliner application a struggle for me. The pointy tip is too thin and does not have enough bend. Also, it has just been a month I have started using it and the tip is already drying out. PS : I always store my liquid eyeliner pens upside down.
Overall, not impressed. Would not recommend. At this price you could totally get a good eyeliner from any brand.
