Today, I am back with another review and it’s on Collection Lip Definer Lasting Colour in the shade “Damson 05.” I bought this in conjunction with NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade “Transylvania,” which I recently wrote a review about. My Experience with Collection Damson Lip Definer:
I love this lip liner! I am so glad I purchased this and I cannot rave about it enough. Firstly, I love the fact that it is a retractable lip pencil. It is therefore so easy to use and you don’t need to worry about sharpening it or anything – it is always good to go! This lip definer comes with 4.2g of product, which is a decent amount and will last you for a long time. It is also so affordable so you’re really getting good value for money.
The formula of this pencil is creamy and glides onto the lips smoothly and effortlessly; however, it isn’t so creamy that it smudges or anything, it is the perfect formula. The colour payoff of this lip liner is brilliant; it is so deep and bold and it makes any colour you apply on top pop even more. As I showed in my previous review, although the NYX soft matte lip cream in Transylvania is dark on its own any way, the addition of the lip liner makes the colour of the lip cream stand out even more and adds more depth to the colour. It also made the lip colour last for longer and the lip product stays on even when I’ve been drinking or eating.
This is also a perfect lip liner for dark skinned girls, who want to wear their favorite n*de lip without it looking too ashy. I understand the struggle girls; finding a n*de lip for dark skin can be a task and often what works for fairer skinned complexions, tend to look completely different on darker skin. I’ve found that applying a darker lip liner under a nude, really works. I like to pair this lip liner with my favorite nude lipstick at the moment, the NYX Lingerie liquid lipstick in the shade “Teddy” and it works beautifully.
This lip liner is so easy to use and easy to create a sharp, clean outline of the lips. I really can’t find any fault with this lip liner whatsoever, it is so worth it and I would encourage you all to get your hands on it if you can. I think the only issue I’ve found is that there is quite a limited shade range, so you may not be able to find a lip liner that suits a certain lipstick as there isn’t much choice.

Overall, I am super impressed with this lip liner and I urge you all to try it too! This colour in particular is beautiful and will complement all skin tones, especially darker skin tones.
