Collection Cosmetics, also called Collection 2000, is a British drugstore makeup brand. To be honest, I wouldn’t really have known or paid attention to this brand if not for the Lasting Perfection Concealer, which so many in the online beauty community have hailed as a dupe for the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer.
From the Collection website:
• Ultimate wear concealer conceals flaws, imperfections and blemishes for up to 16 hours.
• Transfer proof and water resistant for full and long lasting coverage.
I’ve been quite curious about the Nars concealer, but I’m not sure if I actually need it plus it’s expensive, so I thought I’d give this much cheaper, supposed dupe a try. This is in a straightforward, transparent plastic tube with a doe foot applicator. The label is printed directly on the tube and it’s already starting to wear off. I’ve only had this concealer for less than a month so the label’s probably gonna be wiped off in no time.
It has a faint plasticky scent that I only smelled when I put the applicator to my nose to see if it actually had any scent. When I just use it as I normally do I don’t really detect any smell.
This concealer has a thick, creamy texture. It does not have any runniness or dewiness to it like some liquid concealers do. It has a matte, natural-looking finish. It dries pretty quickly so I work with it fast when blending it on my skin.
When it comes to its coverage, I see why lots of people like it. It provides medium to full coverage. Yes, full coverage, for that price! I like that about it very much because that makes it great for concealing redness, small blemishes, and pimple scars. I just dot a small amount on those problem areas, then blend or pat quickly.
However, I don’t like using it on my undereyes. My undereyes are very dark and require a color corrector—regular concealers just don’t cut it. This area is also riddled with premature fine lines, and this concealer is too dry for the skin here. If, unlike me, you don’t have many undereye issues, this concealer should be fine to use around the eyes. It can also cake on flakey, healing pimples or generally dry areas, so it’s best to exfoliate before using this.
The Lasting Perfection Concealer available in four shades: Fair, Light, Medium, and Dark. I have medium skin with yellow undertones, NC35 at the moment, and I use the Medium shade, which initially I thought might be a bit light for my skin but actually blends into it pretty well. Medium is a medium, warm-toned beige. It is less orange than it appears in the photo of the applicator. The 16-hour lasting claim of this is kinda ridiculous, but it does last several hours on me. In the swatch photo, it is unblended on one side and blended slightly on the other.

Overall thoughts on Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer:
It performs quite well considering how affordable it is. Great coverage, natural-looking, good texture and lasting power. It’s not difficult to blend despite its matte finish, you just have to avoid piling too much of it on and prep your skin. Personally I also like that it dries quickly, I think that just makes this product even more convenient. Recommended!
