Do-It –Yourself: Cute Hair Accessories
My mom was searching for baskets in the attic to keep mangoes. Since the mango season started my room has turned into store room for mangoes.. hehehe.. The moment you enter my room you ll be overwhelmed by the smell of sweet mangoes… 🙂
Anyways, when she couldn’t reach for the basket she asked for my help and that’ when I spotted a bag full of artificial flower stems lying around. I plucked few of the flowers from the stem and decided to make hair accessories out of them. Hope you all like them and try making them out yourself.
Here’s what you will need:
• Few artificial flowers ( any color and type will do – it’s all about making the best from waste)
• Black tic-tac pins
• Glue gun OR very good adhesive like Stikfast
Let’s start- – –
I took these flowers for my project. A few of them were yellow and a few purple.
I already had few tic-tacs pins I had got it at dirt cheap rates from local trains when I had bangs.
Firstly, if you have glue gun – plug it in and let the glue gun heat up.
While the gun is heating up., lets pay attention to the flowers ..I didn’t have anything in yellow and so I picked up yellow flowers for my today’s project. See the large plastic protruding end of the flowers.This can be quite tricky to glue.
Hold the flowers carefully by the petals and cut the green protruding part a bit.
See all done . 🙂
Now its i easy to stick them onto our tic- tac pins. . I took black pins so that they match my hair color.
The gun has heated up very well. Press the trigger and place a big drop of glue onto the end of the tac pin. If you don’t have gluegun , doesn’t matter stick-fast glue will work just fine . 🙂
While the glue is hot , immediately place your flower onto it. The clip should look something like this… I made two of them.
This pretty flower clips are just right for the summers.. look how I wear them . 🙂

Abt glue gun .. They r available at crafts store .. M very much into crafts so dis is a must for me … Be suresure to get a gud one n ya pls take care while handlin it bcoz wen it gets hot it can burn u too … U can get it under thoisand buks … I got mine frm bhuleshwar mrkt in bbay ..
