I am going to meet my boyfriend. We are in a long distance relation since 2 years, but I knew him since we were in pre school. He stays in London. Can you please suggest me how to dress up as I am going to recieve him from the airport. This is going to be our first date since he proposed two years back and I am totally in love with him. I have an hour glass figure and I am 5 ‘7.

It depends on what you’re comfortable in! Try a casual dress with natural makeup, or a pair of figure-flattering jeans with a dressy top. Keep makeup natural and minimal 🙂 Or you could wear a medium length skirt with a pretty top.
Since ur recvg him at the airport i suggest a cute top n ur best fitting jeans accesorized nicely n min makeup ! Perfect look! Wear something in his fav color
Hi Priyanka….if you ask me, I would suggest you to wear a pristine white cotton shirt and royal blue well-fitted jeans when you go to receive him from the airport. Keep your makeup natural, maybe a subtle pink lipstick. Most importantly, I would suggest you to keep your hair open if you have straight shiny hair and keep your hair smelling good coz you know if you are meeting after a long time, you are gonna hug…and nothing can beat the charm of good-smelling hair….:)

+2 . . .nothing beats white shirt and blue jeans with a bag !!! mimimum of makeup with TM, kohl and lipgloss !! a bit of your favorite perfume plus the hair do as jomol said plus the charming smile. . .and he is smitten 🙂
1st wish u all the best… now, jeans sounds completely comfy and stylish… pair it with casual top, sunglasses, nice handbag n pumps… as Jomol suggested, keep hair open n good perfume.. about face, makeup should be minimum or nil if u hav clear skin.. most imp, greet him with smile n keep it that way. keep conversation on casual things like journey, flight, weather.. then b a little flirty by asking him abt hot air-hostesses.. keep talking about ur mutual friends, feed him wid news about ur family etc.. well i m telling this so there wont b any awkward pauses betwn u guys.. bt dont go on talking n talking, be silent n attentive wen he is talking. laugh open heartily on his jokes. praise him for his success.. you will be good… 😉
n yea, dont forget to make sure u r well groomed… eye-brows, upper-lips done, hands-legs waxed, nails are in shape n nude nailpaint….
The only thing I will say is dress as yourself but with a lil extra. So if you are jeans and tee girl, then just wear a nice top, good shoes and accessories and stuff – if this isnt your style then skip, coz whatever you wear, it has to reflect who you are, no point if the guy goes crazy for u in kurtas only to realise u barely wear. PS kurtis and jeans are also great the airport. I personally would not wear high heels because waiting at the airport, standing at the arrivals gate can get much. Also like Mumbai airport you have to wait outside so its gets very very hot, so I would consider that into the equation.
Make up – keep it simple and cute – nothing OTT. Make sure u are all groomed .
Just dont forget to give him a big smile when u see him at the airport – really that’s all it takes 😛
Hello Priyanka. I met my guy 1.5 yrs after our long distance relationship. That was the first time we met 🙂 . I just wore a black casual top and a well fit blue jean. I carried my small black handbag, wore minimal make up and just focused a bit on my lip color.However, I made sure I was completely comfortable in my clothing. Wore Black high heels n yes, he fell head over heels for me and now it’s been over 4 yrs that we are together.

This sounds exactly like my situation, Deeda 😛 I wore a white tshirt with a dark blue denim skirt and kept makeup simple. I was comfy, he was bowled over and it’s been 4 years 🙂 I agree with everyone, keep it casual and pretty, nothing too high maintenance.
well i will not suggest u what u should wear…i will tell u just that if he loves u truly…it doesn’t matter what u wear or how perfectly u done makeup…i ve been in a situation like r today once..i was in a long distance rel and he proposed me over phone…and after that we met..we were also school buddies..but sadly things have changed now..he has changed..and i dnt trust him anymore…sorry for sharing my story..but ur story took me back to my past…
wear anything that u feel suits u the best.. if u remember his fav color and that matches ur comfortable wear, go for it.. do not try anything new.. kurta with jean or a skirt would b most preferred.. go for light colors like white, blue, light green, lavendar.. avoid traditional wear or traditional accessories.. go for flat trendy shoes.. restrict to minimal makeup and go for nude lipsticks/gloss.. go for nude or no nail paints .. mostly guys are not that much focused on dress ven compared to gals.. show him love, talk less and ask more abt his experiences.. but do not forget to brief him imp events happened recently..
all I would say is get into the clothes in which u wouldnt feel hot and your sweat marks are visible..something airy and cotton should be preferable. Go for relaxed feel khadi or cotton pants with a summery top/ tank and vest/ buttoned sheer shirt and some comfy ballerinas or chappals..sunglasses.. thick liner..minimal makeup and nude lipstick.. wear that sunshine smile and do your hair the way you always keep it. lt will let him know u more about you:))
