Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara Review

Essence is such a wonderful brand that you can shop guilt-free and try out lot of stuff before deciding on any particular shade or texture. I got this mascara from them as I have read good things (mostly) about the variety of mascaras by Essence. Read on to know how it fared for me.

My Experience with Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara:

The packaging is very cute and girly, like most Essence products. There is green rubber detailing all over the tube which adds to the beauty of the product. The bristles are short and packed dense. Being short they do not poke the eyes and can be used on the lower lashes as well, with ease.

The texture is creamy and not watery, hence it feels a bit heavy on the lashes. One coat gives some definition to the lashes but two coats clumps them up and this giving a spider-lash look. I really do not like these two important aspects, so more or less it is a dud for me. It should either give volume, length or curl; this gives neither.

The mascara stays on for 3-4 hours after which it starts flaking off. Not the crumble-off type, but it loses the presence and makes the lashes fall flat. When used after using a lash curler, the mascara holds the curl for good 3 hours. I am not impressed with this one, as it clumps and feels heavy; would not recommend this. Adding a few more bucks and getting a performer is better in my opinion. Clumped up spider lashes would be the last thing we want from mascara.
