I totally love this brand called “Essence”, not because their stuff is something extra-ordinary but it is just their packaging that takes my heart away. Their packaging is super girly and that makes me fall into the trap and the products are a mixed bag. Some are hits and some misses. This time I picked up a good-looking mascara from them. Let’s see whether this falls into the category of hits or misses.
Product Description by Essence:
Crazy curl! The lash curler is a new mascara innovation and has a manually rotating brush. unique on the market, the brush can be twisted manually as needed-sometimes more and sometimes less – while you apply your mascara to create extraordinary curl and volume. since the curl mascara is twisted by hand, it doesn’t require batteries. an absolute eye-catcher that is fun, too! Ophthalmologically tested.

My Experience with Essence The Lash Curler Volume and Curl Mascara:-
While picking up some stuff online, this mascara attracted me a lot. It looked like an eye candy among the other mascaras from essence, hence picked this up without thinking further. It is a fat cylindrical bottle with a red cap which has things written like love, curl, twist etc.
It might be having a good quantity since the mascara is so fat. The wand is soft and the bristles look like the good quality ones. The wand of the mascara is very common because all mascaras have this kind of a wand. I wish it had a curl shape wand for better results. The consistency of the formula is creamy and thick and jet black. Now the way to use the mascara is to rotate the dotted portion while applying. Although it gives good results, but gets a little difficult to apply while rotating the cap. The application wasn’t very smooth; it didn’t flow with my lashes. It stopped in between while application which caused a lot of clumping.
The formula is thick so it stuck a few lashes together there by reducing the volume rather than creating. It felt terribly clumpy while applying and then when it dried down, it felt thick and heavy on my lashes. My lower and upper lashes used to stick every-time I blinked. It looked really artificial because the volume looked very fake. My entire eyelashes looked fake. Although, the clumpy feeling settled down after a while, I personally wasn’t comfortable applying this. It did not give my lashes any volume but just make it look more black and catchy. It stayed on my eyes till I removed it a makeup remover but wouldn’t like to wear it again because I do not want that burden and loaded feeling on my sweet eye lashes.
Pros of Essence The Lash Curler Volume and Curl Mascara:-
• Affordable and available in stores and online too.
• Very attractive and girly packaging which would definitely attract a lot of women to get this.
• A very unique style to rotate the cap which application which curls the lashes well.
• Handy and good quantity.
• Stays all day.
Cons of Essence The Lash Curler Volume and Curl Mascara:-
• It clumped my lashes a lot.
• I was feeling very uncomfortable to apply it while rotating.
• My lashes stuck to each other creating lesser volume.
• It looked very artificial and I wanted my lashes to look very natural yet catchy.
• It felt thick and heavy, and I did not feel comfortable wearing it.
• It dries up quickly so my lashes were pretty much uneven; some flying high and some lying low.
• It did not give any volume just made them look black and catchy.
Will I Repurchase/Recommend Essence the Lash Curler Volume and Curl Mascara?
No not at all. I would be looking out for some mascara than might give me a natural look and not something which looks fake and artificial. If someone still wants to buy this, accept a gift from me lol :-p
So finally we came to know that this is surely a miss. But essence totally nails it with the packaging and once purchased looking at the cover, there is nothing we can do!
