I bought this almost two months ago from the Faces stand alone store,the whole ultime pro range is about long lasting makeup.When I saw a loose mineral powder, my brain sent a message to me saying”matte skin”.when I tried it on, I did feel it is very soft and would melt into the skin. The price did hold me back because I have ton of loose powders but still due the small quantity and unique packaging, I did pick it up.Small quantity because it would get over in some time, instead of expiring in the dresser.

Packaging:

This has a unique but not too pretty cap, you can hold the lid with that strange shape and go dab-dab with the loose powder.the inner pot has a mesh which dispenses the powder, but you have to jerk it on the brush or this sponge applicator for that. The cap screws back well.

Color:

This is I think the middle shade in the range,they have at least 4 more. This shade is more yellow based but it blends not-so-yellow. This blends like my own skin, this does not look yellow on me, it is a perfect natural match.

Texture:

The texture is not at all chalky. It is very soft and smooth, and when you blend or pat it, it is very smooth on the skin. When you blend it, it looks like my natural skin, but matte. This does not leave a white layer or any talcum like feel to the skin. It is satin soft.

Finish:

The finish you get is a natural matte, that is what I love about it.The finish is smooth matte and it is not at all chalky or dry. This is great to set makeup lightly too and mattifying skin on the go.

Coverage:

The coverage is light to medium, it will conceal pores very slightly, do not count on it to hide flaws, it is more of a mattifying smoothing powder.Some I like to wear it on its own rather than on foundation, though this will work too set makeup.I dont think this is ideal to place under eyes to catch fall out of eye shadow, since it is too smooth.

Staying power:

It keeps skin matte for 3 plus hours, I am pretty happy with the powder.It has not broken me out so far.The application is best done with the sponge provided or with a very very soft brush since brush would tend to eat up this soft powder.

Maintenance:

The sponge cover can be removed and washed and dried and replaced. I dropped the pot when it was open and half of the powder fell out. So be careful.The sieve is huge.

Recommendation:

To everyone who wants natural looking matte skin, with medium coverage.Dry skin can skip this. YOu can also use this set makeup lightly.I like the perfect match it is, and the softness and no chalky feel of this power.
