For the longest time, I had wanted to have a teal pencil in my stash. I knew I needed one when I came across Rihanna’s look in the song “Wild Thought” and also when Rati recreated the look in the most beautiful way. I found this teal pencil from Faces cosmetics “Long Wear” range and was surprised to see that it has not been reviewed yet. Read on to know if I am happy with my purchase or not.
An extremely soft formula with the ease of application of a traditional pencil. The formula glides on effortlessly and reliably stays put for hours -no matter how busy your day is. It has an excellent and even colorpay-off. It is waterproof, long wear (8 hours) and free of preservatives. It is dermatologically and ophthalmologically approved.
My Experience with Faces Long Wear Eye Pencil Teal:
This is a black pencil with a color-coded end and cap. I love the color-coded cap as it becomes easily accessible from the stash of pencils. It has a plastic body with shade name mentioned in it. The pencil is sharpenable which is pretty hygienic. However, considering the price, I expected it to come with a sharpener. It is easy to use and you can keep it in your purse.
The color is a true teal shade with a shiny finish.. I tried clicking it in every light condition, but somehow it looks a little bluish, but the color has a fair shade of green in it. The shiny finish makes it more vibrant and makes your eyes pop. This is a very refreshing shade for a vibrant, fun look. It will suit women of every complexion.
The pigmentation is insane and a single swipe gives full coverage, intense, even color. The texture of the pencil is very creamy. It glides on the eyes like butter and the sparkly particles do not affect the texture. It can be used on the waterline with ease too. It never looks patchy, dry or layered. It dries down within seconds and once dried it stays in place forever. It never fades if you try to rub it or smudge it. It is waterproof too. It gives a beautiful, velvety-silky kind of finish that stays without fading.
As it allows an even application, it can be used to draw perfect lines. If you sharp it before using, it can be used to draw winged liner too. The tip is creamy, so it is advisable to keep it in the fridge before sharpening and using. Otherwise, a lot of product will be wasted while sharpening and drawing sharp lines will be a little tough.
This liner stays in place for 8-10 hours which is pretty good. It does not fade and the intensity stays the same. You must used an oil-based cleanser to remove the liner completely. Overall, this is a great pencil if you love creating vibrant, colorful eye looks.
