8 Home Remedies to Fade Burn Scars

I’m back with yet another post! Today, we would be speaking about home remedies to fade burn scars. Burn marks or scars are not only unsightly, they remind us of those scary moments too. We spend enough time taking of our skin but even a small mistake can lead to burns. Burn marks are generally adamant and do not fade away soon. If the burns are intense, laser treatment is one of the best options. However, if the burn scars or marks on the skin are minor, then you can easily make them fade away with home remedies.

Home Remedies to Fade Burn Scars

Aloe vera gel soothing treatment

Using pure and raw aloe vera gel on burn scars can make them fade away. Aloe vera gel contains antioxidants which heal the skin easily and also prevent any form of infection. Apply some fresh aloe vera gel on burn scars and allow it to dry. Wash off with water.

Raw honey treatment

Another skin soothing and effective ingredient is raw honey. Honey contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which heal the skin and also fade burn scars easily. Take some raw honey and apply it directly on burn marks. Wait for some time and wash off with cold water.

Fenugreek seeds

Essential nutrients and antioxidants found in fenugreek seeds can fade burn scars and marks. Take one cup of fenugreek seeds and soak in water. Grind them to make a thick paste and apply on the marks. Keep this mask on for 30-40 minutes and allow it to dry. Wash off with cold water.

Tomato pulp

Tomato contains Vitamin A and C which play a major role in lightening burn marks on the skin. Also, tomato contains skin lightening properties which can lighten the skin and heal scars easily. Take one tomato and cut it into pieces. Mash the pieces to make a paste and apply it on the scars. Allow it to dry and wash off with water.

Cocoa butter

Cocoa butter contains natural antioxidant and moisturizing properties which not only fade the burn scars but also promote healthier skin. Cocoa butter plays a great role in skin healing, thus it works on burn scars too. Take some cocoa butter and apply on the burn scars. Massage on the skin for some time and leave it overnight. Wash off with cold water.

Turmeric and milk paste

Turmeric contains antibacterial properties while milk contains lactic acid that heals the skin easily. Take one spoon of turmeric and add some milk to it. Mix both the ingredient together to make a paste and apply it on scars. Allow it to dry and wash off with water. Use this remedy twice or thrice a day to heal the burn scars easily.

Lemon juice and almond oil

Almond oil contains skin moisturizing properties while lemon juice contains skin bleaching properties, hence together they help to promote lighter and brighter skin. Also, almond oil contains a lot of Vitamin E and antioxidants that makes scars fade away. Mix one spoon of almond oil with lemon juice and mix together. Apply this on your scars and wash off with cold water after some time.

Multani Mitti

Take some multani mitti and add some water or milk to it. Mix both the ingredients together to get a thick texture and apply it on your scars. Allow it to dry and wash off with lukewarm water later. Use this remedy for a month to see visible results.
